Thanks for the detailed post. If Toyota extends the $2500 incentive through June, I'll go shopping when I'm in Portland next month

Tarbox Toyota actually gave the third lowest quote I got for Plus. It was $28,774 MSRP (a bit higher than yours probably because it's Blizzard Pearl) - 2,827 - 2,500 = $23,447. I just decided that Premium was worth the extra money (to me) in the end. And the previous record on Priuschat for Plus was also Tarbox Toyota from user quester for $23,109 (also excluding registration/tax, not sure if including doc fee). And since as bisco said it is fortunate that I found out about Boch beforehand, their quotes are probably a lie anyway, so I would say you got a really good deal for a Plus!

Toyota extended the $2500 off incentive in the northeast through July 5. Great timing as I'll be in NYC and Portland, ME, most of June, now looking for a blue/moonstone advanced. $2500 + $5000 (Colorado) + $4500? (Fed) = hard to pass up. Any dealer recommendations greatly appreciated

I've already spoken with two dealers in Boston this afternoon. They show Prime Advanced inventory on their websites but when I speak with salepeople via phone they don't have them in stock. I can't travel until June 19th so I've got time, but I was hoping at least website inventory would be correct.....

Be very careful with Boston dealers, and do your homework about how paperwork in MA works if you are buying from out of state. MA is the only state out of 50 that doesn't do temp plates.

^^^^^ Many thanks for the heads up.....

Just spoke with Westchester Toyota. They offered me $31,543 net of rebate for an in stock Blizzard Pearl Prime Advanced. I'm thinking that's MSRP less the $2500 rebate (TTL not included). I found them thru the Costo program. Not a very exciting price.....

Have same experience here in Southern California. The dealers don't bother to update their websites with current inventory, probably because this is to their advantage!

These prices are great right now. I got mine for 1K Cash Back, 700 off MSRP and that is being beat by $3,500 bucks just a few months later! A few more payments and my principal will be where these folks are at :p

Yup, I may have a deal for $3400 off an Advanced in Maine. Then there's Colorado's $5000 off!

So if I fly to Colorado and buy a Prime I get $2500 + 5000 off (and $4500 fed tax credit)?

In several states one of being State of Texas that does not provide any incentive(s) to purchase any alternative fuel vehicles and no income tax(but pay state sales tax). In my opinion has its disadvantages and advantages:
Advantages states providing incentive(s) contributes to overall lower vehicle price ownership, disadvantage keep paying state income tax for years
Advantage states does not take an income tax, disadvantage states that does not provide incentives contributes no impact on vehicle price ownership.
I rather not pay state income tax and get state incentive(s), since there is/are no such option I chose not pay state income tax and not get state incentive(s)

Well that's not entirely true. Texas does have incentives..but just on certain other models (Camry, Tundra, etc).
I guess TX is an oil state so they want to burn oil. Lol

The only Texas incentives I found was "Clean Vehicle Replacement Vouchers", application needs to be submitted prior purchasing vehicle with restrictions such as meeting certain income level, not able to pass emission or at least 10 years old and gasoline powered, passed a Texas motor-vehicle safety and emissions inspection within 15 months of your application and driven under its own power to the automobile dealership... Also private companies incentive to purchase NGV (Natural Gas Vehicle)
As you stated, TX is one of Oil & Gas state.

That does sound fun! Take some back roads and see the country while you're at it too. Plenty more time to study and play with all the menus and settings that way. I think there might be something like 27 different combos on how the door locks can be operated?

Mine arrives in about 3 weeks. I figure it will take until ~October to be comfortable with what options are even available to me with all those settings, etc.
