Just out of curiosity, is any of that 6.1 miles traveled at highway speeds (65-75 mph)? I'm guessing not being that short, but you never know.

Just City driving in Orlando, Florida not too far from Disney and Universal Studios. The posted speed limit varies from 40 to 50mph inside the City.

Was hoping for a Prius Plug-in news or leaked info at the Annual National Dealer Meeting, But it's was all for the all-new 2012 Camry and Camry Hybrid coming this fall.

Wow, a headlight. By the fall there will probably be more info out about the plug in. It will be a waiting game.

I thought Prius PHV was coming out this year - has it now been pushed back to next year ? Toyota is really dragging their feet.

Toyota Prius Family says spring 2012.

In the beginning of the 2nd video at http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii-2010-prius-main-forum/60002-prius-technology-video.html, from early 09, they sounded even less aggressive about when and whether they'd ship a PHV.

http://pressroom.toyota.com/article_print.cfm?article_id=1839 says "as it begins to introduce plug-in hybrids (PHVs) and battery electrics (BEVs) in model year 2012". http://www.toyota.com/esq/articles/2010/Prius_Plug_In_Hybrid_Vehicle_%28PHV%29_FAQ.html says "The Prius PHV will come to market in 2012." http://green.autoblog.com/2009/07/05/toyota-will-launch-series-production-phev-prius-in-2012/ from 09 says 2012.

http://green.autoblog.com/2010/11/22/toyota-outlines-future-eco-car-launch-schedule/ "By early 2012, TMC plans to begin sales of a "Prius"-based PHV, mainly in Japan, the United States and Europe."

Yeah, there was never a firm timeframe on when it would come out. Then it was almost mid 2012 like June, but at least now we have early spring. I hope they see the high demand for this car already and can push it forward even a little more. With Toyota that's doubtful, but one can always hope.

I think it is a miracle they are able to keep it on track. I remember Tsunami wave damaging the lithium battery plant.

Well personally I'm hoping for a Spring 2012 release. Much better than getting a vehicle just before or during winter. At least I can enjoy it and see what it really can do as the weather gets warmer.

Wanting a 2012 model in the spring of 2012 just for the sake of not receiving it during the winter makes no sense. I actually do not like the spring release of a 2012 but we will have no choice apparently. For those who trade say every 3-4 years paying full price for a 2012 in May of 2012 means you loose being able to use the vehicle for almost 7-8 months but still pay full price and loose that much more on a trade/private sale.

    Good Point, Paradox...

For someone like me.. who tries to get the most use out of his vehicles.. it really doesn't matter when it comes out..
