I definitely am not the type to may extra for color, and I guess the white is good for now. I just had bad experiences with my wife's super white RAV4 and the fall out spots she got right off the bat.
Fall out spots? The only thing worse than white for keeping clean/showing dirt is black. Our former Yaris in a brightish shade of red was fantastic in this regard... it could go months without a wash and it would still look good. Of course it looked much better *after* a wash! My black Golf, OTOH, looks filthy the next day (not to mention showing every scratch and chip).
I would have rather had black. Dirt I can wash off, those fall out spots were these brown rust-looking spots that made me think there was something wrong with the paint. The dealer kept saying to buy this expensive clay-bar thing that was just ridiculous to use...it was sad.
