I didn't think it would matter to me, but found that once it fit into my loan budget it became a deal breaker. There were two cars that I seriously considered purchasing but could not pull the trigger simply for lack of a moonroof option. I held out for two weeks, searching all dealer website inventory listings. When I found the exact car I wanted, with the moonroof, I went there and bought it.
We ordered a level 4 metallic silver C with sunroof, we take delivery next week. I am very happy about the sunroof option...it's fun!
Congrats! I held out for my sunroof. I could have had my C a month earlier if I would have given up the sunroof but I refused. I am so glad now that I waited.
Thanks, The real story is a searched through about 117 Prius C's on Toyota's SE inventory website which was on a hyperlink of my local dealer. I found one Prius C level 3 with a sunroof, wrote down the Vin number took it into my dealer. I asked if the car was available an hour later he told me it was and I placed my deposit. It took some time for them to locate the actual car. Any way patience pays I guess. I am looking forward to picking up SILVERCwSUN next week. The summer rain color was my next choice...
It is definitely worth it. A plus side is that when its hot out side, you can tilt the roof up to allow for some extra ventilation. This helps me a lot as i have the black softex seats which absorb a lot of heat.
all! To revive a past thread: Question please - I've been keeping tabs on the C as it's hopefully my next car. When you do the Build Your Prius C on Toyota's website...the option for a moonroof is no longer there on the Trim 3. Anybody know if they're discontinuing this for levels lower than 4? Thank you!
Hmmm....maybe this is why my C with sunroof was so hard to find. Very good question. In the 2012 brochure it is still an option for the level 3.
We only had two choices. Moon white with a sunroof or the blue. My other three cars have sunroofs and I can't remember the last time we drove with them open. I guess living in southern CA we don't like to enhale all the exhaust. We are perfectly happy so far without the sunroof. Personally I'd go with your favorite color.
