I'm sold on traction. One of my old cars was a 1991 Plymouth Laser RS with fat 16" (toboggan) tires. That thing was horrible on snow. A co-worker had a Dodge Stealth with the same kind of tires. When it snowed, he would call a cab.Sometimes his car was in the parking lot for days. I didn't want to live like that.. I was able to get some cheap 14" OEM Laser (steel) wheels and put GoodYear F32 snow tires on them. Best snow tires ever!! I think the thinner profile of the 14" tire helped too. Got more bite.?. I gave them to a buddy when he took the Laser off my hands in 2000. His son drives it now.. Michelin X-Ice Xi3 tires seem like they might be okay for the 'C2'. I sent the test report URL to my wife. She might be interested. Since there are a few hills in our area.
I used Micheline xice 3 last winter. They were just fine. I never experienced any problems. They are also quieter than the oem 4 season tires
