Prius 2011 no dash lights, won't start

I bought a 2011 at an auction that was doing the same things. Found multiple fuses blown in the under hood fuse box, but it took a little bit of searching to find the 125 amp fuse mounted on the side of the fuse box that was blown and ultimately got it running again. Had to remove the inverter and then flip the fuse box up to be able to replace it.....

Sure sounds to me like either a nearly dead 12V or a loose connection. Did you measure the voltage at the jump point in the fuse box under the bonnet?

 

Its not a dead battery battery is perfect all usual checked fuse bpx in boot good removed cheched earth connectipn perfect battery connections perfect

 

See my comment in the other thread you're asking about. It sure gets confusing when you ask the same question in multiple threads.

 

As stated battery is perfect so is voltage at jump point terminal

 

probably a fried ecu somewhere

 

So you dealt twice with my first suggestion and ignored the second one pointing you back to my question about the fuses under the instrument panel? You have so many questions and so many answers in so many threads that I'm not going to try keep track of them.

 

I think u may be right might get a full ecu kit

Umm, Jerry has helped a lot of people here over a lot of years, and as one of the consistently more genial members of this community, and was also trying to help you organize your questions in a way that would make it easier for people to help you.

A bunch of years ago, Eric Raymond wrote a pretty good piece about asking questions in ways most likely to get good answers.

He was thinking mostly of questions about computer software, and it shows in how that piece is written, but there are a lot of good ideas in it that are helpful here too.

@andrew butterworth, I didn't explain it very well, but asking the same question in multiple threads makes it almost impossible for those who want to help to be able to keep track of everything that's been asked and answered. As a result, people either spend enormous amounts of time trying to jump from thread to thread and reassembling the conversation ... or they give up and ignore it because they just don't have the time to do all that. If it's in one thread, it's more simple to keep it all sorted out. (Although sometimes the thread gets so long that not everyone remembers everything or takes the time to go back and review the history.)

 

You had to do this because the prius would not turn on at all even with a jump? I am having this issue now. 2011 Prius wont turn on even with a jump, no lights, nothing, even with voltage at 13+ from another prius

 

I have always trouble when using those terminals under the bonnet. If battery is empty there is no chance charging any other way but via actual battery poles. Even when battery has some charge i need pay exceptional attention to earthing to get charging started from under the bonnet. i have even tried ”motorcycle” mode in the charger but no help. So i would not count much on the voltage reading under the bonnet. Just a comment.
