I think you are still missing a state. Look beyond that province.

No bet. When I went to look at PiPs when they first came out, the dealer had a pile of the and not one was charged.

My salesperson went out to check that the 12V battery wasn't dead before we went for a test drive.

But with the manufacturer's rebate they were offering at the time, I didn't care one bit.

I said a couple others, then changed it to 4 (others), including Hawaii. I did not forget about Alaska.

I read 4 there as a total, not as others.

If one mashes together some of the recent controversies and conspiracy theories about citizenship and birth, then someone might challenge my citizenship because my mother was born in Alaska when it was not a state. :)

I wouldn't let it set all charged up waiting for someone to want to test drive it either. Not good for the battery. But if they know you're coming, it would be nice of them to put some juice in it before you get there even it it's not a full charge.

I wanted to see what it was like on the battery, being the point of the PiP. When I went to the Chevy dealer to drop my friend off, I had no intention of buying a Volt. The salesman asked me if I wanted to take a test drive and after asking, he told me they were all charged up, so just pick one out.

Oh, and there was maybe 1/8 of a tank of gas in the PiP. I hit a gas station on the way home with it. The Volt tank was full. ;)

Yeah, it seems like they don't want you to buy one unless you really really really want one. :(

The icing on the cake was that they scratched up the window removing the sticker and had to order a new one.

I thought the PP reserved the top and bottom 20% of battery capacity so an apparently fully charged battery is really at 80ish percent charged. Maybe apples to oranges but Apple recommends storing their devices 80% charged if you don’t plan on using them for a while.

Yikes!! I'll bet you'll be dashing back there for your next car, el, @El Dobro?

The 20-80 is for while in use in use. Storing at 80% is not good according to the manual. This battery is somewhat more costly to replace than a phone battery.

Mine came with a full tank. The window sticker even says full tank if gas. It’s a Toyota perk.

There is currently a global shortage of automotive electronics, so a car like the Prius that uses a lot of electronics may be hard to manufacture. However I suspect dealer inventory is high, right now as gas prices in the US are low.

Because buyers have no long term memory, low gas prices keep hybrid prices down.

Are you kidding? They are merely where they were 2 years ago, below 3 years ago, and below the 10 year average. And certainly below the through-the-roof prices of 2008 that put me on a path to getting a Prius.

But people have short memories ...
