I saw the notification with your name for this thread and immediately thought, "Whoah! Huskers finally saw a Prime." Then I clicked the link and saw your comment. <sigh> Keep looking!
We had 60 to 80 thousand people in town this weekend for the Apple Jack Festival. I thought for sure I would see at least one. Big car show today. Still holding out hope.
Here in Minnesota, where Prime is still special-order only, we spotted 2 yesterday. I can't wait until Toyota finally rolls out to the other regions. Delay until the mid-cycle update was a wise move. It avoided the now obvious fallout GM is having with their disastrous subsidy-dependent design. And of course, the regular model-year cycle for 2019 hasn't even come to a close yet. So, there's a few months of waiting still. But in the meantime, stir for PHEV interest emanating from strong RAV4 hybrid sales will be a nice attention boost for Prius. Patience is a virtue you must learn when it comes to Toyota. That's an automaker who doesn't give in to short-term gain. There attentiveness to true long-term advancement can both be painful and distressing. At times, it feels like lost opportunity. But the ability to actually affect the status quo requires it. Think about what it takes to get a dealer to embrace change.
Primes outnumber Prius at my nearby dealership. Is Magnetic Grey black? New Toyotas for Sale | OpenRoad Toyota Port Moody
Magnetic Grey is dark grey Attitude Black or Midnight Black is black (black with dark green/teal specks under sunlight) They’re all base models. Rare find. But makes it easier to illustrate on paper that a Prime will end up being comparable to a regular Prius after the rebates. (With added equipment)
I see more PRIME than Gen4 regular Prius around here. I know at least 4 PRIME owners in my neighborhood. No longer a novelty.
Stop the presses. I saw a PRIME today. A silver classic colored one like mine. It was in Shenandoah, Iowa in the parking lot of the local community college there. They do exist !!!
they are everywhere here! I see at least 4 or 5, sometimes up to 7 some days in the parking lot at work. Just seems like more and more people are buying them here.
I saw a pretty Blue one in the Tom Thumb parking lot in Wylie Tx a week or so ago. I almost sat and waited for them to come out just to catch a glimpse of them. LOL
In Canada, black is first offered on 2020s so any black Prime is a 2020. (and any silver Prime is a 2019 or 2020). Also, the wheel covers are different for 2020 so that's an easy one to spot.
