Hey, at least these don't have the Harley logo on them... or they'd be hundreds of dollars. :ROFLMAO:

They were third gen caps though, somewhat ill fitting? Someone will hopefully get in gear, start turning out 4th Gen knock offs. Toyota keeps those guys gainfully employed, with their exhorbitant prices, for bits of chromed plastic. :cautious:[/QUOTE]

Obviously I would prefer the center caps that DavidA has. I could not justify the price which was around $80 even on ebay. Hell even a Prius hubcap can go for $50 on ebay with shipping. Was planning on selling all 4 of my Prius hubcaps but I have not got around to it.

I wouldn't say the Prius 3 silver center caps are ill fitting they just ride on top of the rim vs. flush with the exterior of the center cap. Once you take your Prius for a spin centrifugal force, inertia and probably some kinetic energy lock them into place rock solid. All it takes is a short drive around the block and they are locked into place.

I keep wondering why they changed the groove location, because they can?

I'm thinking you're meaning the Toyota logo at the centre of the wheel cover? Isn't all one piece?

Plus eBay is a lot cheaper than a Toyota dealer to get them

I'll be looking for some (small) center wheel caps that fit a 2018 Prime w/15" wheels.
I found numerous caps that claim to be 2017 compatible but not 2018.
Is there a reason a 2017 cap would not fit a 2018 wheel?
If anyone has a link to a preferably genuine 2018 Toyota Prime cap could you please
    post it?
    Cost isn't really an issue.
    Thanks in advance,
    J

2017 - 2018. Same car, different price. There are a few changes that don't really amount to much. Are the wheels really different? I'll be they aren't.

The only thing that really matters is if you have 15" or 17" rims. MSAGRO has the Gen 4 caps but for 17" rims. My prius has the 15" rims from Gen 3 but they fit Gen 4. Not a perfect fit asthetically but it something you would never notice after you put them on.

Don't all US Primes come with the 15" alloy?

I think so. Mine does. Anyone else have a different size that came on the car when new?

I took off the hubcaps and put an electrical plug as at least a temporary center hub today. They only had the 1.5" knock off at Lowe's (electrical aisle), I had to bend the tabs out a bit and then wrap them in electrical tape, but so far, so good. Free aluminum wheels!

Hi. I've read this post but still confused. I have a 2020 Prius prime, I've removed the plastic hub caps and need a small cap to insert in the center of the rim. Any idea what the Toyota part number is and what the cost will be at the dealer? Thanks

At the Dealer, about $80 dollars for all four.
