Th This is the best price paid post I have seen! Really gives other buyers a good, thourough, fair reference! Great job and congratulations!
Hi Lensovet! Yes I did buy the car! It's on it's way from Baltimore Maryland. Should be here tomorrow or Thursday. Can't wait. I'm here in SF now and I'm seeing pip's everywhere here. Advanced Blizzard Pearl. Ill post numbers when I get back home. Happy New Year!
Prime Toyota in Saco, Maine gave me similar lifetime power train coverage for free when I bought my 2012 PIP. I have to have all oil changes done at the dealership within 1,000 miles of the recommended interval. My last oil & filter change for my 2010 Prius cost $49. If that price doesn't go up then I'll probably have the oil changes done at the dealer for my 2012.
I must have overpaid though! Got them to add illuminated door sills for free even after we signed all the paperwork! LOL!
The cash price for my 2012 plug in prius, bought on Nov. 30, was 38,688. It is the advanced model, MSRP 40,320. Cash price is the term used on my finance sheet. This is before any incentives etc... I bought this in northern calif.

Hi All,This is my first post on PriusChat, but this is not my first Prius, I have owned the classic prius for over 12 years and it ran great,135K miles and before trading it in. I decided to take the plung and get the PiP. Here is what I paid for it:Standard PIP with 5 mats. MSRP: $32,985 which includes delivery. Invoice: $32,132Trade-in of old 2001 Prius: $1000 Internet price: $28199 Cash back: $4000 + 0% interest Purchase price: $24,199 I purchased mine at Maquire Toyota in Ithica, NY, I live in Ohio and was able to drive it safely home. They were offering a special after Thanksgiving, I was thankful to get a deal on this one.
Just bought my PIP in Arlington, VA I live in Morgantown, WV. These cars were selling like crazy at year end. I ended buying sight in seen and I never driven one either. Just trusted the members here. Plug-In base Blizzard Pearl $31,900 -$4000 Toyota money =27,900 -$2,500 Fed Credit -$7,500 WV State Credit Approx $17,900 before taxes and title
Trade-in value only $1,000? 135k mile on 12 yr old Prius is low mileage. I wonder what you could have sold it for privately?
Yea I know that the trade in value was low, but I drove to this dealer after driving from CT and it was either the new car or the old one going back to Ohio. I also drove in with the spare on, I had a blow out on the way there, also the 12 volt battery was giving me fits, the cold weather was causing the car not to start at times . There were other small anonynouces that I had just lived with, windows clicked while rolling them up or down, they were slightly loose when not fully raised. So they took it and I sure thats fine... I don't think they saw that the spare was on it, but I did not care. I did get new brakes on it finally after 133 K mile on it, two months before I sold it.. I was sad to part with it , but change happens! The car definately had alot of life left in it and I assume my new PiP will continue to carry the tourch as the classic Prius did.
