Dealer said $99 for the all weather mats (don't know if it includes trunk mat too will confirm today). The car already comes with Prius plugin branded floor mats. I prefer having all weather, as I have a 1 year old who likes to spoil my car interior :)

Here is the deal I have on the table. Suppose to sign and pick up the car this Saturday.

    2012 Prius Plug In Advance
    Lower door moldings
    Carpet floor and cargo mat
    Rear bumper applique

    MSRP $40,798
    Sale price $37,298
    Toyota rebate $5,000
    Federal tax credit $2,500
    CA clean vehicle rebate $1,500

    Basically $28,298 for an Advance

I am having to fly to MA to purchase the car and drive back to CA for this deal. This is the best deal I could find and I emailed many dealers.

What a deal for a loaded car! If you get both the CA $1,500 rebate and TFS $5,000 cash bonus, that is really sweet!

MA to CA .. phew thats a long drive. It seems like a great deal, but I am not an expert I am a newbie.. Any one know why TFS is giving so much cash back & dealers giving discounts too? I know from the local toyota dealer that on 11/5 they will be getting 2013 priis.. is that the reason or any problems with prius plugin?

I think Toyota overestimated the demand (like Leaf and Volt). I also think they priced it a bit high. Plus the 2013 models are coming so they have to clear out the 2012 models. In addition, Ford is introducing Energi plugin models. You add all those up and you get a nice cash bonus. :)

It's a long drive for sure. I have done several long drives to purchase a car. The longest one was CA to IL. What's another 1,000 miles? HAHAHA. I looked into shipping it, but it cost $1,300 or so. I can make a road trip out of it. But, looking at the map it doesn't drive through anywhere great.

Even though there is higher inventory of advanced models in CA, no one is offering any great deal. Pretty much same discounts ($ wise) from dealer and TFS for a model that is $7500 more. I guess Toyota thinks that there are enough guys to take it out from their lots, so no hurry.

Can anyone recommend a dealer/salersperson in the NY tristate area for a PIP?

    Thanks in advanced.

I've been trying to contact you via PM, but you haven't replied yet. Maybe you're already on your way to MA? Haha. I'm from SoCal too and want to join you if I can get a great deal like this as well.

Boch Toyota is the place that I found to have the best deal.

They have a Pip in there ad listed at 26,488 after the 3500. That is 29988 before rebate. Some here listed that deal. Give them a call and mention the ad and see what other fees are added.

There were some good deals for advanced model, but just could not make myself to pay close to $7k for the added features.

Just pick up my PiP today, and strongly recommend the the salesman and dealer I bought from: Russ Beiler at West Herr Toyota in Orchard Park, NY. He was the fourth dealer I talked with, with all three of the others doing things during negotiations that were less than straightforward. Russ gave me the price I asked for (listed in another post), didn't try to upsell me or add on anything I didn't need. He was very efficient with all follow-up correspondence, and very patient, efficient, and attentive at the time of sale. I flew to Buffalo from Chicago to get the car (and the 0% financing with $3500 rebate), and he had his assistant pick me up at the airport and bring me to the dealership. Altogether a first class experience. And I know the dealership, which has two locations, still has a fair amount of inventory to sell.
