If you're referring to the fact that it doesn't have a headphone jack, it comes with an adator to the "lighting" jack. I use it fine on my 2009.

True. I used it that way in my older Prius, too. I probably should not have used the word "Can't" there.

I don't use an aux adapter with an iPhone 7/7+ in the Prime since the Prime supports audio with a Lightning cable in the USB port. That is my preferred method of connecting the phone for music.

    does
doesn't your phone flop left to right with the vent? might need to stick something in there

    no great solution IMO

DO NOT GET THOSE STICK MOUNTS unless you want an ugly ring for the life of the car

Roger! When you do that, does it also charge the phone over that USB connection?

Granted, for me at least, that's not generally a big concern, since iPhone 7 battery life is usually not an issue for me. Still, certainly would be nice at least if so!

It charges it as well, yes. Note that due to problems some folks reported on these forums, I put my newest straight-from-Apple USB / lightning cable in the new car, rather than an older / third party one. So far no problems cable wise (although I've been seeing a few random bluetooth issues not unlike what others have reported).

Good to hear (that it charges too).

I gather that the Anker Powerline+ cables seem to help with the connection flakiness.

Does the USB connection also function as a data connection for Toyota's Pandora (etc.) Entune apps? That, as opposed to piping the Internet connection via Bluetooth?

Yes, but you can't have both enabled at the same time. If you have it plugged in, you have to disable bluetooth.

Sorry, but what's the name of the car holder that you use? I'm looking through the thread and can't find it. Obviously, I'm missing something.

I just lay my Samsung S7 on the QI charging pad where the phone charges and it connects beautifully with Bluetooth. The only difficulty is that occasionally when you corner hard, your phone may slide around a little bit and the connection might be less effective in charging the phone.

The iPhone does not support Qi charging, but they could plug a charger into the accessory outlet & still use the tray, I believe.

Current iPhones, that is. Rumor has it that the iPhone 8 will support Qi charging.

FWIW though, in my particular case, charging nightly, I rarely drop down below ~40% on a day's usage on my iPhone 7+, and similarly for iPhone 5S and 6+ before it. Occasionally, but not often; almost never to where it complains about being low. Again, just FWIW...

You can get a Qi case for the iPhone, can't you? Don't know personally; I am an Android person, and all the recent phones I got have Qi built it.
