When the plant is finished and at full production, the gas from Porsche's plant will be $10(pre inflation bump) delivered to Europe. I'd would guess in the $15 to $20 a gallon range for the US today at the pump. If we were working on foresight, we'd start blending in tiny amounts now with the percentage to gradually increase over time. Also go with the open fuel standard to allow methanol, ammonia, and other options to mix in besides ethanol.

The company Porsche is working with was starting construction of a plant in Texas. Don't recall what exactly it will make; methane, methanol, LPG, diesel, and gasoline can all be the end production of the process. Another company is building a plant to make gasoline from wood waste.

Wow. That’s completely different from other cities in the area. I’m in a walkable area with clinics, shopping, transit, food, parks and rec centres within a 15 mins walk. The only thing I need to drive is if I need to go to the mall for shopping other than grocery or pharmacy (specialty store or clothing etc) or if I want to try other restaurants. Although I guess I can technically transit too and it’s not inconvenient.

I am on 7 acres in the country but only 2 miles away from a 60 mph highway. I need to drive almost anywhere, but most stuff is only a 10 or 15 minute drive away.

I mean, you can't compare the countryside to urban areas. We can't have what you have in an urban area; it'll take up way more space.

That said, what you have is definitely convenient with a 10-15 min drive. A 10-15 min drive here might get me 2-4 miles down the road in rush hour lol.

I feel we moved to a place that theoretically does not exist. Before I retired at the end of last year, I lived in the country, a 15 minute drive from work in town.
