PPI preheat and battery use

    It could well be that no programming is needed at all.
    As we know, HV driving means many very small discharge/charge cycles (in the region of 30-70Wh? or whatever), so at the end of a deliberate HV drive we are left with 2.95 +/-0.05 kWh of usable capacity for EV city driving.

    So we're on the same page. You took my saying "I am fairly certain the EV and HV portions of the battery are separate in that the car will not use EV range while in HV mode...." to mean more than one cell. I too think that unlike the 2010 prototype the new pack is one battery (4 modules) as you mentioned.

    Hopefully they have improved things over the current setup. There is no confirmation on the keyfob; I need to see the car's lights. I think I've successfully used it once in the past year which sucks big time as we have long warm season here. At least I've got the solar venting which helps tremendously but that's not an option on the PPI.
