That would be my guess. You would only need to press the START button ONCE, and it doesn't matter if you have you foot on or off the brake to power down from READY, which it would have been in to drive it from the pump to the park. If you pressed it two or three times, that's your problem right there.

It was not the ACC-ON for that will turn the display on. But why didn't I first believe stonerider. With all power off and engine off the voltage was 9,7V. That is too low, right? Ignition on was 9,0V and engine running 14,1V.

I also got a caution message I've never seen before: "Problem with the transmission "P" lock mechanism."

As it is winter my sweet-nice person wife always uses the seat heater, listens the radio and quite often drives short rides to work (changes places several times a day). So maybe I will call the service and ask for a new battery :)
It's not hard to change yourself, I believe, but I think I will be lazy this time.

Edit: this was checked via MFD menus..

    ^^^^^^^^ What he said.

All of what you have described is classic symptoms of a 12V battery crying out to be replaced,

Be aware for some reason the dealer is incapable of properly testing the 12 volt battery and may report its ok.
Just say that's great i want it replaced anyway.

Also Fyi at 9 volts the car has been throwing the big red Triangle master caution light with exclamation point on the dash.
You can't miss it. Its wicked bright.. Only throws it for a second when all The dash lighits come on during boot up.
That's the dead 12 volt battery alarm. Next stop AAA.

    The horror
