depends on how it is equipped.

Not to mention it'll be better equipped than a Volt (TSS-P will be standard for example).

based on nathan kokes quote in @KrPtNk thread, (toyota unveils 360 degree prime driving video teaser) that's more likely the three price, and the 4 will probably be substantially higher, imo.

Is it likely that a Three Prime will be similarly or better equipped than a Three HB? Maybe like a Three HB with ATP?

I'm assuming they'll treat the Prime as a top of the line Prius. Which means it'll likely cost more, but the tax credit should bring it closer to what a top of the line regular Prius costs.

If they're similarly priced, I'd imagine most people would just buy the Prime instead of the regular Prius since the tax credit will drop the costs down, unless they need that 5th seat. And even if they can't plug it in, they can just run it on gas like a regular Prius.

And with California eliminating the cap on the HOV stickers for plug-in hybrids, Prime sales should skyrocket there once it's available.

most people didn't buy pip, even though it netted somewhere between pack 3 and 4.

Well TSS-P and heated seats are standard. No moonroof and I'm not sure about the HUD. It might be saved for the Prime Four Advanced. (The Prime Premium posted here doesn't list HUD, but it does list the 11.6" HD screen. My Prime | PriusChat ). No idea if Premium is a package or whether Toyota is going with a different route for model nomenclature.

Well, my big thing is I want cloth seats, no moonroof, and a HUD.

Well no moonroof is fine since it's not even an option but I doubt the HUD will be an option on the base model but who knows. We don't know what the packages (if any) are like.

I can get a HUD in the Three Hatchback, I'd better be able to in the Three Prime. Better yet, it should be in the base package.

good luck with that. toyota isn't known for packing the base model with goodies. it's just to lure you in and upsell you.

So, you're saying a Three Prime might lack a feature than the Three ATP Hatchback has.

it's possible. i'm just going by pip. it had package 2, plus a few extra features. hard to say what they'll put in or leave out. it's going to be interesting.

Lol. Like Bisco said, good luck with that. I've followed Toyota long enough to know that the probability of that is low.

It might not be obvious to you but to me, since there's no moonroof option, there's most likely no HUD and therefore it'll be included in a higher trim. That's my reasoning.

If there's no HUD, I won't buy one. If I can't get a HUD without Softex, I won't buy one. Simple.

understood. toyota doesn't care though. they don't know what we want, heck, we're not even their target market.

the people they're after think hud is 'housing and urban development'. and wouldn't know softex from naugahide.;)
