Possible Monthly install meets. Bay Area-Fremont

I'm down, the monthly meet is coming up, when is the next meet?

 

Current planning is for Saturday June 24th.

You down for just a meetup, or you have some maintenance you'd like to perform?

So far confirmed are:

• Gen1 PIP (essentially a Gen3) intake manifold cleaning
• Gen2 spark plug changeout

I may or have any maintenance to do this this time, so I'll be part of the pot crew.

The place TBD, but Smart Pedal HQ in Lafayette has been offered up by @Pedal Logic .

The last meetup was a great time!

 

Fremont is also available if Pedal Logic falls through.

 

Maybe Fairfield is an option too.

This might be conducive to getting the Nor Cal folks together with the Bay Area group.

But we'll see where it goes.

The 05 has 133k miles when I gave the keys to my dad in December. Might need to do an oil change. Can go end of summer in August if you want to wait to do your maintenance.

The baby is nearly sleeping through the night. I'll have to drop her off at the grandparents in Milpitas. I get free babysitting and my dad gets free car maintenance.

 

Nice trade off.

Let's hold the 24 th of June as suggested. I could do a brake bleed, but I'll defer and put myself at the back of the line. Sounds like there is some additional interest this time, so maybe we can do one in August as well.

Good to hear the baby is doing well and your getting some rest.

 

I'd be down for a meet up. I'm needing a transaxle fluid change, brake fluid swap, and I"ll probably clean my battery fan this weekend and the EGR pipe.

 

You in Sac? If so, would you be willing to drive to Lafayette, or would Fairfield be your limit?

No worries either way. I just need to know how many weekends to potentially block .

Hi Everyone,

I'll volunteer to host at my house in Lafayette on 6/24 if that works for the group. The driveway is wide, flat and long, plus we have a large garage area (which is why I particularly liked the house).

This is my impetus to clean up a bit, too.

Yeah I'm east of Sac. I'd be willing to drive out but just realized 6/24 is my wedding anniversary weekend and the wife already put up with my car fetish in the past with my last 4 cars so I'll probably catch the next one.

 

Keep monitoring the thread. There appears to be a good level of interest and we should have a meetup again.

Now if someone wants to host up toward Sac, I would make the trip.

I had a moment of panic--just a moment though--when I read that and thought, "Wait, is that our anniversary too?"

If folks want a different date, that's cool too. Maybe it's easiest if folks write two dates that work well, and two that do not.

Our anniversary is July 5th so easy to remember. Now the bachelor party was July 4th in Vegas, and that is very hard to remember.

 

We ought to have enough people in San Jose / Fremont area to have four people for a maintenance meet-up in Fremont every other month.

 

June 24th is the next meet? Darn. I have a very important release that weekend and have to work.

 

No worries, there will be another meetup.
