    We are:).

Trying to set the logistics of the next one, but @Pedal Logic has a lead on a nice 2 bay setup with lift in Lafayette;).

We’ll work that angle, but suggested dates help(y).

Hello, wanted to chime in to see if you guys still actively meet up? I have the usual 120k services coming up and would appreciate the input. Thanks to all!

    Welcome to Prius Chat (y).

We still meet and looking at a weekend in May in Lafayette for the next one;).

What services are you looking to do, and will you be participating in the labor:whistle:?

We help out and this one should be an actual shop(y).

Thanks for the warm welcome + timely response. I have no codes or warning lights. I just got a full tire rotation yesterday from America's Tire co. in Union City. I love those guys, always super polite and helpful. I'm under the impression I need to perform the following services:
replace cabin + engine air filter, change oil + filer, replace windshield wiper blade inserts. I ordered these parts (except for the oil) earlier today.

Perusing this forum I'm lead to believe I should also: drain and refill engine + inverter, replace coolant circuit fluid, lube rear sliding pens? I've had the car since 40k, currently has 125k and none of these services have been performed to my knowledge. I'm no wrench but I'm pretty good at following direction and definitely want to participate in the labor for my own edification.

Sounds about right for the next to dos;).

I’d also add the trans fluid drain and fill :).

Keep an eye on this thread as we update it frequently with when the next meet up will be(y).

You’ve got a lot to do, if you haven’t done any of it yet. You won’t do it all in one Meetup; it’s best to do over a little time:
    1) Engine coolant replace
    2) Inverter coolant replace
    3) Brake inspection; pads are probably still ok
    4) Lube brake sliding pins
    5) Replace spark plugs
    6) Trans oil replace
    7) Clean EGR, EGR pipe, EGR cooler, intake manifold, and replace PCV valve
    8) The paper filters you mentioned and engine oil
    9) Definitely Most Important: Detail your engine

I know it’s a long list, and it’s a pretty exhaustive list. It covers stuff that should have been done at 80,000 and 100,000 miles. If this meetup has a lift, I’d do the fluids, especially that transmission oil change. Holy mother, that job’s so much easier with a lift.

Definitely plan to keep this car for the long haul, so I certainly appreciate the info and want to attend to all the above. I have a high school buddy who was a service manager @ Toyota in Daly City, but he joined a trade union and left a few years back. I had my break pads replaced relatively recently but all the rest is needed. I've heard it mentioned that spark plugs have a recommended 150k interval. Does that sound right?

120,000 mi for spark plugs. I’m 6,000 mi away from that service.

    Easily doable in one day...

He also needs to do a brake fluid flush. Then all of his wallet flushes will be up to date.

Also, in this climate, the slide pins are a non-issue. In fact, they are rarely an issue anywhere. Rust “jacking” between the bracket and the clip is where the problems occur.

Curious to know what brand you plan to go with when you do the spark plug service?

It’s been documented here that if you go non-oem, your mpgs will suffer drastically.

    Get the updated Denso 3499.

    NOT the Denso 3444.

Didn’t have the exact part number, but looks like you got it covered:).

But go Denso and you’ll be fine(y).

Great! I don't think I've ever been so excited to maintain my car. I really appreciate all the helpful pointers.

You’re welcome to run THAT meetup! I suppose a professional mechanic does that much work in a day, but it’s a lot to do to one car in a meetup, especially when others show up who might want to do some car stuff.
