Most goods people buy are from China or Asia. Cheap.

Food is still cheap here , but the price of services goes up 5-10% per year.

Where does power fit? Under services. The big killer.
Gasoline, and now electricity, are indexed to the price of oil.
The price of oil is speculative, and subject to manipulation in the oil futures market.

I have my doubts about those cost of living inflation figures the Fed puts out.
The cost of services is surging --check your electricity rates.

Actually......they're probably going to wind up making us their 24th province. They already count Taiwan as their 23rd. This is presumptive of course.....they may make one or more of their "Autonomous regions" - Guangxi, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Tibet (Xizang), Xinjiang... into a proper province before they foreclose on us... :D
