Traded in my 2002 Ford Explorer for the 2010 Prius III with Nav using the "Cash for Clunkers" program. I ended up getting the Blizzard Pearl by complete chance. In fact I didn't even care too much for the color, but now that I have it, I am pretty happy that I got it. It has the light gray cloth interior with the dark accents. Purchased from South Bay Toyota. I drove home in my new Prius on 8-8-09
Long time reader, 1st time poster... Here we go, Per PriusRos' instructions: -Package IV with Solar/Nav -Barcelona Red Metallic, Dark Gray Leather -8/3/09 Delivery Date, Chicago, IL -Dealer: Toyota on Western--made the experience pretty painless overall, paid MSRP. Had been "looking" for a couple of months but seriously looking for about 2 weeks, got lucky and found exactly what I was looking for sitting on the lot of a dealer only 10 miles from my house! I'm one of the fortunate ones based on a lot of what I read here on PriusChat. For all those still waiting: It is totally worth the wait! Went from a '06 to this and am loving all the tweaks and new features!
Picked my 2010 up earlier today(yesterday now) 8/10/09. III no package Blizard Pearl Vann York Toyota- High Point NC Actually just went to see what I would be offered for my trade thinking I might need to wait until after the C4C feeding frenzy was over. Four hours later I was driving my new car home. Good experience. Good price for my trade based on Kelly Blue Book. Got the car for MSRP with mats thrown in. Got the Platinum 7yr/100k warranty for $1054. Highly recommend this dealer.
-Package II Base -Black, Grey Interior -8/8/09 Delivery Date -Dealer: Koons Toyota, Westmtinster, MD, paid MSRP. Had been looking at Prius' a few weeks before Cash 4 Clunkers began. Did not have a clunker, but unfortunately did not make a decision on a Gray one until the chaos started. Prius' were disappearing quickly in Maryland so we ended going with Black. This forum was a great help in the purchase!
Mystery solved. I have a V with NAV and w/o ATP in Blizzard Pearl (not my 1st choice, but now I really like it). Purchased: 8/6/09 Blizzard Pearl w/light tan leather interior Dealer: Ourisman Toyota, Chantilly VA Clunker: 98 Ford Explorer w/150k miles
congrats - i have the IV solar/nav in blizzard pearl with the Bisque (Tan) - i may be biased but i am sooo happy i opened myself up to the blizzard pearl - even though it wasn't in the 3 color choices i started with (red, black, and blue)
I got: - Package IV Base model - Blue Ribbon metallic color, Dark Gray leather - Delivery Date: 08/06/2009 - Dealer: Parkway Toyota in Englewood Cliffs, NJ - Clunker: 2002 Jeep Liberty Limited with 200K miles (Avg 16 mpg) Got at MSRP price as car was in high demand and going quickly. Had a hard time finding the IV in Blue Ribbon. Most dealerships around the Tri-state area said they would have to order and would take 4-6 weeks. I have a great experiece with this dealership. Would highly recommend. Salesguy was Miguel. I am loving the car...Average MPG is now 47...the old Jeep gave me 16 mpg. I am saving alot in gas money as I do alot of running around. Booked 500 miles on the Prius already in a week or less.
I can relate to this great post as a new Prius owner motivated there by the clunker program. I feel good about taking a 5.2L dirty V8 with 185K+ miles on it off the road. I also feel some duty to give back in return for the 4500 "gift" from the government. I never though learning to drive conservatively could be so much fun! We are really loving this car; just a few days into it, but every drive is still as fun as the one away from the dealership. Thanks priuschat contributors!
I'm getting my Prius tomorrow. Metallic Ribbon Blue. The Tech Package is the one I'm getting...I'm Canadian eh!
I live in Canada and we have slightly different packages. Mine is called the "Technology Package" (very similar if not the same as Package IV with solar and navigation). It's black with grey leather interior. I got the all-weather floor mats and the extended warranty for 4 years. I picked up my car on Monday evening of this week. It's now Thursday morning and I have driven 500 kilometers already! (300 miles) Words cannot describe my new driving experience. I owned a 2001 Prius. The advances of the 2010 is utterly amazing. Radar cruise is my new favorite thing. Talk about reducing the stress of driving and increasing safety! Wow!
Ya Me too... Package V with Navi.. no solar though.. not really missing it. I love this car!! I traded My Infiniti QX 56 in on it. It was a really nice ride with really bad gas mileage, this ones small but fun to drive..
Hi all! I've had my new Blizzard White Prius II for two days now, and like it a lot. I was very happy to just get one at all, since, with the Cash for Clunkers madness, they've been very hard to find in my area. I really lucked out though, because I was able to take advantage of both the state and federal clunker incentive programs. $3,500 off from the state of Texas, and $4,500 off from the federal government, plus $50 for the scrap value of my 1997 Mitsubishi Montero! lol I used up about half of those savings for all the extended warranties and service plans I ended up buying, which is very unlike me. I usually don't go for extended warranties. But oh well, I won't have to pay for anything on this car for 7 years, so hopefully I'll get my money out of it. Anyways, it's nice to be a part of the club. Me and my girlfriend are already planning all the little road trips we want to take.
I picked up my Prius yesterday. And after several months of lurking, I decided to join PriusChat. Package level: III, base with no options Colors: Blizzard Pearl with Dark Grey interior Location: Louisville, KY Dealer was Oxmoor Toyota in Louisville. I could not have had a better experience. I called on Monday 8/17 and spoke to the Internet Sales Manager (Matt). When I asked about them having a III in Blizzard Pearl with or without NAV, he checked in the computer and found that they had 6 Prius' in transit to the lot. Five of them were already sold and amazingly enough the 6th car was exactly what I was looking for. Got it for MSRP, no addons except for the mats. I put a $500 deposit down over the phone. Car was scheduled in the computer to arrive this Saturday, 8/22. He called me on Wednesday 8/19 and told me my car arrived early, he was having it cleaned, and I could come pick it up in an hour. The finance guy (Dennis) offered the extended warranty, but wasn't pushy about it and backed off as soon as I said I wasn't interested. Paperwork took about 20 minutes (I already had my own financing arranged). If anyone is looking for a Prius in Louisville, I would highly recommend Oxmoor Toyota.
