Today I purchased a Barcelona Red Prius IV. I traded in my 2006 Prius 4. I love it but it is quite diffeerent. I think i figured out that you can just drive and get the best milage and not drive in ECO or POWER or EV? Is that right? Seems too weak in ECO and do not need the power of POWER but I can imagine situations where these would be useful. Things just seemed to feel right with them all off. I have not been able to get the garage door thing synced yet. Yes to phone and to music on my phone (iPhone 3GS). So far I love this car, the lumbar support is most welcome! Any suggestions would be appreciated. I will soon be driving cross country. Stephen
Prius IV w/Solar pkg, Window tint, and carpet floor mats. Blizzard Pearl / Bisque. Also has pinstripes, which I think is unusual for a Prius - even the dealer was surprised when the car came in (from another dealer) with them. Rick Walter at Charles Maund Toyota in Austin is the best car salesperson I have ever dealt with. Very professional and knowledgeable. Took less than a week to get exactly what I was looking for. My first Prius - very excited to learn all about it and already know it will be great (especially compared to the 2000 Ford Focus I have been driving!) Thanks for all the great info here!
Yesterday I picked up my new Black, 2010 Prius V with Nav. I did not see that option on the poll and selected V Black. My 20 miles driving experience is positive. I like the black stealth look.
I am a brand new 1st time Prius owner (and newbie here), but a little confused about the model choices in the poll.(II, III, IV, V?) Not sure if in Canada they are classified the same way. I purchased a Blizzard PearlWhite 5 door hatchback with the Touring Package and the 17" wheels. So far - one week I am very satisfied with the vehicle and my purchase. Got exactly the model and colour I wanted, and at great savings since the $2000 Ontario government grant runs out June 30th! Just wondering if someone can clarify the model classification, and if they think 17" wheels affects the mileage or not. I tried a few demo models, and instantly loved the smooth ride of the 17" wheels.
Congratulations on the new ride! It sounds as though you got the Canadian version of what the USA calls the Prius V.
Good luck with your new Prius, brostephen! Yesterday I leased a Barcelona Red 2010 Prius II. I traded in my 2008 RAV4, which was recently invoved in a serious rear end accident. The damage estimate was almost $12,000, and even though it was repaired, it has not been the same. Prior to purchasing my RAV4 in 2008, I owned a Dark Green 2001 Prius. I sold it to my brother almost two years ago, and it is still going strong with 160,000 miles on the odometer. Like you, I'm still trying to figure out some of the features on the new Prius, as it's so different than my old 2001 Prius. I find the new Prius vastly superior to my old Prius, which was very cramped and uncomfortable, and was lacking in performance.
I just traded in my 2006 Prius for a 2010 Prius today! It's bittersweet. I will miss my 2006 Prius.. but I'm looking forward to all the little upgrades in the 2010 I got a Prius III with solar roof package.
Just took delivery of III + mats. Silver with dark grey interior. Lease is for 36K miles/3 yrs payment of $246/month (not including taxes) and I walked out the door paying $331. Dealer and sales person was great to work with. Did everything over email and I was in/out of dealer within 60 minutes.
Well picked up the car last night and drove it home. On the way to work this morning I smiled when I realized that she had gone the thirty miles and had hardly burned any gas at all. This could be a lot of fun. As for the questions: Package level III with leather seats (already have a navigation system) Winter gray for both of them Waldorf Maryland Dealer was great....was in on Tuesday evening to see the car. Car was ordered Tuesday night at 2045. Picked the car up on Wednesday evening around 2100 and drove home. Dealer financing was 0% for 36 months, 1.99% for 48 months and 2.9% for 60 months. I remembered seeing special financing on the Toyota website and got pre-approved on Tuesday...locked in 1.9% for 60 months and I am smiling this morning. Total price $23,500.
Got ours 2 mths ago. Waited about a week for the combo to arrive in SF, CA: Pkg II, Black Exterior, Dark Gray Interior, Had factory Carpet Floor and Cargo Mats
Package II in Winter Gray. Im too cheap for the nav system... but definitely get the bluetooth option!
Got the Package III, and am having after-market leather installed later next week. It should match the factory tan leather as close as possible.
:welcome: Woo Hoo... Just joined the ranks of new 2010 Prius owners!!! Blizzard Pearl with Dark Charcoal and Solar/Nav... I *LOVE* how the Prius is like a STEALTH/NINJA car with no noise when running EV or when it deems electric only...! I LOVE all the gadgets especially the DISPLAY just like a space ship... BT and USB connection for my iphone 3G and and works with both PHONE & AUDIO what could be better... Ah yes, USB direct connect to iphone for CHARGING and direct connect! Yes POLL was correctly entered, I added IV with SOLAR (NAV) and I selected the Blizzard Pearl... Great FORUM, one of the MAIN reasons for purchasing the vehicle!! :cheer2:
Got the III w/Nav system (Barcelona Red), and I'm SO glad I got the Nav! It was admittedly a bit of a luxury for me, but given my technophilic tendencies, I realize now that I would've been most unhappy without it. For me, the Nav system is a pretty big deal, given that I upgraded from a '96 Tercel (still have my Tercel). I've been stuck back in the mid '90s with car technology (and yeah, I even have several cassette tapes stashed in the Tercel's console that I no longer use, but...), so being able to scroll through my iPod menu on the nav system is just way cool! I would've traded in my Tercel, but it's a great little car with only 93,000 miles and still runs just fine. For no more than the dealer offered for trading, I'd much rather keep my Tercel as a beat-around car. Love both my Toyotas!
Package III, no options Blue Ribbon/Bisque Delivery on August 10, 2010 in Kokomo, Indiana First Toyota, First hybrid, so it's all new but I like it so far.
Newbie here. We've had our 2010 Prius for a week now. I love this car! Ours is a Canadian Base model (Package II?) in black with grey interior. We added the side body moldings and all weather floor mats. I sent out a request for quotation via the internet to all of the dealers in a Southwestern Ontario. Stated our desired trim level, accessories and colour preferrences and asked the dealer to provide pricing (complete with all taxes fees and rebates) within three days. Told them I was going to purchase by the end of the week and I was willing to travel to close the deal. Got a lot of replies. Sure made shopping around easier. Ended up paying $29.1K CAN (after $3K Toyota Summer clearance rebate; plus 13% HST, Air tax, Freight, registration, etc.). Not too bad of a price for our area I think. Highly recommend shopping around via the internet! Still on our first tank of gas. So far getting 4.1 litres/100 km !!
