I received my red beauty yesterday after an 11 week wait. She stands proudly in the drive, in the snow!! today here in Houston Texas! So I will do my test drives tomorrow what we will be back in more normal weather: 50-60s. I will write details in the many different threads this PC site has on-going.
Woo Hoo! Traded in my 2004 black Corolla on a gorgeous 2010 blue ribbon Prius III on monday! Still figuring out the dang buttons, but thanks to this forum I expect I'll be up to speed shortly!
Juts get my hand on the V Silver last Fri and extremely satisfied with its fantastic features and beauty
I received My Prius V with ATP in Barcelona red/charcoal grey interior today! It has the added amenities of illuminated door sills, alloy wheel locks, paint protection film, rear bumper applique, carpeted floor mats and cargo mat, along with a cargo net. I had been waiting since June 25 for a prius at my local dealer in Plainview, TX. Through priuschat I spoke with several dealers and ended getting my prius through Dianne Whitmire at Manhattan Beach Toyota. (Thanks Dianne!) I'm proud to join the priuschat owners club! Kathy
That's a long wait! I'm sure you'll appreciate it even more! Where is Manhattan Beach? Did you have to travel to take delivery?
I had it shipped to me from near LA California, and it arrived with 2 miles on the odometer! It cost $675 to ship, but Dianne gave me $700 off of MSRP! She is one of the finest car sales ladies I've had the pleasure of dealing with. She found me the car I wanted in a timely fashion. It's a beauty, and I haven't noticed any creaks, rattles, blurry AC screens or anything. (Of course I've only had it for 2 days). I've already had people asking me about the car in the little town of Plainview, TX. I'm so happy to be part of the priuschat family, and I finally can contribute to posters with questions based on my experience. Kathy
Bought our Prius V in Sandy Beach Metallic/Bisque with the Nav package this past weekend. It was sitting in the back lot at the local dealer. It hadn't even been added to the inventory listings yet by the dealer. It still had all the plastic wrap protection on the hood, wheels, seats, and other various body parts. The dealer hadn't even PDI'd it yet, so we had to test drive another one first on Friday. It had 8 miles on it when we took it out for our test drive on Saturday afternoon. We bought it for less than $300 over invoice (about $29.7k before taxes, fees, etc.), which I am feeling pretty good about. I also mustered about 6 no, thank you's during the Finance Department inquisition regarding the extended warranty. The lowest he got was a bit over $1200. Still on the fence on the warranty, but now I know that I have a long time to decide, when I was told during the discussion that it was buy it then or never. Not a great experience there, although the rest of the buying process was much better. Still getting used to the car, but we're in love with the idea and it really seems to be a good purchase at this time. Have a appt for this Friday to take it in to the dealer to have them figure out why the USB/Aux/12v Power Jack in the center console aren't working. It's a good thing the XM is working because I am experiencing bad withdrawal symptoms without the iPod capability.
Just got my Prius yesterday. Brought it right off the lot...they had a quite a few on the lot. Here are the details... Black Prius III with nav dark grey interior $27,400 out the door price.
Bought my Prius III +NAV (Blizzard Pearl) on 12/07/09 from Scott Nichols Toyota in Silver City, NM. It was the only Prius the dealer had, but I liked the configuration and the color. I have ordered the body side molding from the PriusChat store and the dealer will install it free when it arrives. I'll be buying the Platinum Extended Service agreement from the link provided on this forum. I realize that extended service agreements are not economical, but at age 75 I need the comfort. Morgan On Edit: I placed the order for the discounted extended warranty from Troy at WarrantyShack. I opted for the 7-year 75,000 mile term for $760.00 We average less than 7500 miles/year, so that seemed a good fit for us.
That's a great price! Sorry to hear that your jacks aren't working -- I had a problem with one of the 12V jacks --but regarding iPod capability, do you have the iPod Touch by any chance? If you do, and you download the latest firmware, you can listen to it via your Bluetooth capability without having to plug it in to the aux jack.
Thanks for the note on the price. To a fault, I am worried about getting screwed by a dealer, so I drove a hard bargain and it seemed to work out. After seeing other deals around here at PC, I am much more at ease with the big purchase. This was our first new car purchase, and I haven't been sleeping too well since last Friday. It's not that we can't afford it, I am just careful with our money and when I make a financial blunder it hurts... As for the iPod, we're still old school using 4th and 5th gen iPods. I covet a Touch, but with the Prius in the garage now, it will wait...
Well Gents, Just drove back from the dealership in Frederick MD. In the Prius II the choices were black, white, and blue; so there it is Barcelona red, bisque interior. Nice !!!
silver, package 4 Sunroof/Solar/Nav plus a 2007 package 6 silver, and a 2008 package 6 very blue the latter both with Webasto 5300 sunroofs. Fabulous vehicles all.
Wow ... that's a lot of Priuses! How do you like the built-in solar roof compared with your after-market sunroofs?
