We have a III, Barcelona Red exterior, Bisque interior with custom color leather by AutoSpa through the dealer. The Dealer is Toyota and Scion of Muncie, in Muncie, Indiana. Great folks! We were their first C4C deal, and while we made a deposit on the car in early July, we had to wait for the program to start in late July to take delivery. We drove the car for a couple days before returning it to the dealer so the leather and seat heaters could be installed. They turned the car around in two days, just in time for me to take it on a 4200 mile road trip vacation through the south, where I averaged 54 mpg and 45 mph. I drive the car, named "Red Barchetta" after the subject and title of one of my favorite songs, on my daily 110 mile round trip work commute to Indianapolis. Thanks to a decent amount of slow-speed driving downtown, I spend a lot of time in electric mode, boosting the mileage to 56!
III Barcelona Red w/ beige interior Purchased from Lee Toyota in Topsham, Maine under the c4c. Wanted a Blue Ribbon II but this was the last available Prius. Love it! Delivered 8/22/09; averaged 51 mpg for first tank--mixed town and turnpike driving.
Model: 2010 Prius IV w/Nav Color: Blizzard Pearl with Misty Grey interior Delivery: 8/25/09 in Pasadena, CA Dealer: Pasadena Toyota Price Paid: Sticker (no, I didn't pay more than sticker) plus $4,500 off for cash for clunker trade-in. Had to purchase from a manifest list as they were selling faster than they could get them to the showroom. If you are in the Los Angeles area, I would highly recommend Pasadena Toyota for making a purchase. They were not doing things like Keys Toyota where they added wheel locks for $995 (I'm not kidding... this is like a $67 factory option). No jacking up the price $2000, $3000, $5000 over sticker. VERY easy to work with - even on the last weekend of cash for clunkers. AVOID Wondries Toyota in Alhambra... they were TERRIBLE to work with. They tried to get $5000 over sticker and were real jerks. Favorite Features: Keyless everything and GREAT mileage. Worst Features: No auto-on headlights, Fuel computer miscalculation Best Mileage: 75.2 MPG (based on fuel computer, so 69 MPG real mileage) for 36 mile commute in Los Angeles from Arcadia to Brentwood.
:cheer2: 800 respondents! While base package II is the most popular single category, at 22.5%, which is to be expected, 22.6% of owners have a package III or IV with the solar roof and 17% have a V, with or without ATP. So many people are willing to spend big bucks for their Prii (it's the most expensive car I've ever owned). Blizzard Pearl is still the most popular color by far. Silver is a distant second, but it was originally only about third or fourth.
I phoned our local Toyota dealer (Toyota of the Desert) where we bought our 2005 Prius and told the salesman we really liked our Prius and would come buy another one if he had one in white with package II, he did, so we did. We now have a two Prius garage.
Being our first hybrid, we had a difficult time ordering the car. Too many options, and we could not configure the car the way we really wanted, so ended up ordering the Technology package included NAV, leather seats, back-up camera, intelligent parking assist, power moonroof w/ solar panel, dynamic radar cruise control, etc.....basically full load from the factory in Blizzard Pearl. Added all-weather floor mats and trunk tray. Our order was scheduled for delivery first week of October, but someone who had exactly the same specd car cancelled and we were given the option of taking delivery. After checking out the vehicle and making sure it was not a dealer trade, but indeed a brand new car right off the truck....we got it with 7Kms. on the odometer. :bounce: We would have preferred a Package V with power moonroof with solar panel; however all the added "toys" are just fine.
I purchased a IV with nav and solar on Sunday. Winter gray/dark gray interior. They look nice together. After reading about so many people waiting weeks or even months to get their car, I'm a little embarrassed at my luck! I just happened to be driving by the dealer, saw the car sitting there and bought it! If I'd had my first choice of color I would've gotten blue, but I'm happy with my purchase. The salesman checked if any dealers in the region had a blue IV he could swap for, but no luck. He said it's a difficult color to come by right now.
Just took possession of my first Prius: - 2010 Package II (didn't need or want all the gadgets) - Silver Metallic exterior - Misty Gray interior Purchased from Toyota of Des Moines (Iowa). Great buying experience (this is my 2nd car from them). Waited 2 1/2 weeks.
So you should be embarrassed! People in this region certainly don't just drive by and see a IV with solar sitting there waiting to be purchased. In fact, very often if you just drove by and asked at a dealer here, they'd tell you that Toyota just isn't making them with solar roofs and that it will be at least 5 months!
2010 Prius, Blizzard Pearl with Navigation. With Carpet Flor Mats & Cargo Mat (CF) & Rear Bumper Applique (EF). With Bisque cloth interior. Took delivery on 7/31/09 in San Francisco, CA. Purchased using the "Cash for Clunkers" program. This is exactly the package that I wanted. The only thing extra was the applique, but now I think it is a nice extra. The dealer was awesome and located the model that I wanted while it was in shipment and then got it delivered to the dealership.
Our fist Hybrid Car & loving it! -Package II with Bluetooth and carpet floor/cargo mats -Black with Dark Gray interior -8/8/09 Delivery Date, Lemon Grove, CA. -Dealer: Bob Baker Auto Group - very nice and friendly. We were purchasing under C4C program but hit a snag when we did not have the "original" Certificate of Title. We were certain that had we left, the last 2010 Prius II in their lot (and all of San Diego area) will be gone as I experienced this twice in the last 2 days. Mario Lupinacci helped us out by providing $4500 trade-in value for our 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee and paid MSRP for the Prius II.
Model IV w/Navi, floor mats Barcelona Red Metallic / Leather in Dark Gray Fremont CA, 09/04/2009 Was a bear to find any Prius in the post-CFC mess. Fortunate to find one equipped exactly as we wanted from a dealer who treated us well.
Well, about a month ago my daughtewr purchased a basic blue ribbon metallic 2010 Prius (Canadian model A). Today I bought myself a blure ribbon metallic 2010 Prius with technology package (Canadian model D). At first, I chose a winter grey model, even though my preference was for the blue, so as to be different from my daughter's car. But when I looked at it on the lot I found out that the interior was the very light grey, almost white, not the dark grey we wanted and that was a no-no for us. So we had to take the only other car available, a blue ribbon metallic, or have to wait about 3 months... We are getting the car tomorrow afternoon and saying good bye to our trustaded 2001 Outback VDC H6, a great AWD car but hard on gas in the city! Unfortunately, in Canada, we cannot have the LED headlamps, the 17" wheels and the techonlogy package in the same option! Oh well, I'll live without that! I hope the Nav will be worth it. BTW, anyone knows who makes that Nav unit and with which other cars the maps DVD are compatible? I am not sure the solar panels are more than just a novelty but there was no choice, it was part of the package... Anyway I think I'll be happy with this car... as long as there is not too much snow on the street!
Congratulations on your new Prius Earman. Did you by any chance buy the unit from Open Road Toyota at the Richmond Automall? I saw that car a few days before we picked up our Blizzard Pearl with Technology Package on September 3rd. It was our first glimpse of a Prius with leather interior. Enjoy your new ride and hope you can make it to the Prius meet on September 27th. Hope to see you there. http://priuschat.com/forums/local-clubs-events-road-trips/67990-bc-wa-id-meetup-sept-2009-a.html
Yes, bought it in Richmond at the automall. I'll try to make it to the meet but cannot be 100%sure...
Blizzard Pearl II with bisque interior September 8 Came with mats and IPod harness C4C deal MSRP Ended paying $20,534 out the door Heintz Toyota in Mankato, MN Very painless transaction. Sent paper work by e-mail and fedex. I was in and out in 45 minutes when I picked up the car. They were straight up and didn't try and upsell me on anything. Easy to deal with. They turned off the reverse beep and seat belt beep as part of the dealer prep at no charge. They were the only dealer close to the Twin Cities that actually had a car (two actually) when I called around. I'd certainly consider buying from them again (although price would need to be taken into account next time).
Whoops! I was in such a hurry I checked III, but forgot to add the Solar and Nav. Dark gray leather, too. Just so excited to get the car, I guess . . . . . And yes, I will miss my trouble free 2006 Prius 3, super white/tan. It was a great car, and hopefully will make its new owner happy.
I'm sure your 2006 is happy wherever it went. You won't miss it for too long . I also traded in a 2006 package 3 for the 2010. I almost felt guilty because he gave me no problems whatsoever! I don't miss him, however, except for the interior storage space. It really sucks in the 2010 compared with the previous generation!
