    Hi All,

Yep me too - BSEE passive device microwave engineering. When non-technical people ask me what I do I just tell them I am a 40 gigahertz electrician. They hear electrician and think I make allot of money.

One patent - one of those "why didn't I think of that" -"ultimate KISS" -"revolutionary concept"-"out-of-the-box" ideas. Just came to me out of the blue. We were on a teleconference and the engineers on the other end of the line started excitedly talking back and forth and furriously shufling papers and sketching! They had just told management it could not be done.

Dad is a PHD ME and professor. He took me to see the Chrysler Turbine car when it was brought to Michigan Tech for a demo. That was where he started his teaching career after working on the Saturn rockets. Alternative cars have been interesting to me since. The thing was running on perfume!

Wow! Interesting poll. Me: Got my architectural first, then switched to environmental (specializing in water and wastewater treatment facilities). Retire in 90 days!
