PM or Conversation not working at this time

Maybe mod can do a restart on the server or something like that?? Most of the times this works when network is running slow or things don't work in the office

What @bisco said. Mods can do a lot, but they can't get anywhere near server access.

Anyway, with all the times the site has been down in the past year, I'll bet it's been restarted lots of times since this problem first reared its ugly head.

 

Real frustrating, I started a thread regards not being able to start a conversation, seems to be a setting for members, can't PM or start a conversation so hopefully admins see this reply. Admins aren't corresponding with Verticalscope or Xenforo to investigate this issue?

As such, they are not involved.

The software is a custom version and may not be supported by Xenforo either.

At any rate, as long as the OWNER doesn't care enough to do something about it, your complaints will just be a waste of time.......as most of the complaints have been over several YEARS.

Your time and energy will be better spent on something else.

As for having a "clue", I've been on this site for about 7 years now.......and have been running "Internet" forums since before there WAS an Internet.

Actually if you hurt the feelings of someone going through a sensitive time here then they will complain to TidelandPrius and he will scold you.

You will catch on and notice them as they shed their vast know how and look at you as if you were just born when you signed up to the forum.

7 years here and running BBS systems before the Internet are two DIFFERENT items.

But then I expect that you already know that and are just stirring crap for the "fun" of it.

 

Before the internet there was a net. And there were forums. Pretty contemporaneous there were BBSs. AT the same time there were over 550 DC area BBSs there was the Multics Forum and before that ...

But not the Rav4 Hybrid or any of the plug-ins.

And yes, it is hard for some of those of us who go back to the 60s and mainframe forums and hundreds of BBSs to see the ignorance of history. But when I'm tempted, I think of how many things I'm ignorant of.

I found the same thing yesterday .

Thankfully I had sent a direct message to the party I was trying to message previously.

Had I not, it's difficult to ask something only their eyes can see.

Hoping for a fix soon.
