    We used to own two Prius that at one time were leading the 2-3% efficient car market. Now we own two, plug-in hybrids, closer to 0.75% of the car market.

    Ford has (had) fine cars but with a BMW i3-REx and Prius Prime, I am not a likely customer. However, the Ford Escape hybrid was a nice test ride ... but too inefficient.

    The Autoline TV crew claims it cost ~$1B to develop a new car. The investment cost is too high to sustain a low profit margin, sedan car.

    only if you're not smart enough to compete with the onslaught of asian sedans. keep building what is cheap, easy and profitable, until you run out of time.
    maybe they are hoping for more import tariff's.
