yes was thinking that was the case.
so i need to make a wire connecting, the pin 1 cable from the cell to the black wire of the celllog.
and connect the pin 8 wire to the plus side of the 24 volt relay ( i guess the almost 30volts wil not be a problem for a 24 volts small printboard relay )

i hope to get my relays next week.. maybe this week.
i am getting a small housing where i plan to put my cellogs on the cover and the wires with relays inside.
then 2 x 36 pol centronics socket and plug so i can connect and disconnect that box from the battery housing.

maybe next week i place the pack in the back of the car and just do a test drive to see how the cells perform when inside the car under the normal load that they would get when used in the plugin.
if thats ok then i will start and finish al stuff and make it more permanent.

maybe just maybe I do a test this weekend... just a test, battery temp. connected

Stay safe FWD, don't test if you're not ready.

Mmmmmm at 216 volts the cellogs start to screen low voltage below 2.9
    canview highest voltage is 210....

do I need to upgrde the firmware? bms is latest with lithium firmware
    canview not yet latest...

    anyway I am still alive
the cell do get warm to the touch while driving. its 10 celcius outside.

I also put a temp sensor inside the pack.
    reading 26.8 after drive,
26.3.. 30min after and now I am charging again.
I think for summer I need soon cooling
a few cells dropt fast to 2.9 so that's not ok.

funny it drops during charge, then a while into go,s up but only a little and during driving it gets hotter...

with my oem packs I have the other way around

    Hey Plug_in
I just have a couple thoughts and questions to run by you because you created this thread. First off good job and congrats on your success. Please give a current update.

Next I do not know if your are aware but I have seen on "Autobeyours" website with a partial view of "Plug in Supply" kit which they are starting to sell "DIY" 10kw kit which is almost like your's true diy instead they have 76 cells which I think is only 4 more than yours and selling at a cost of $10,000.

I have the following questions for you if you can help me out with please
How much did you spend on battery cells, bms plus, cell logs
ev contactor (kilo), wiring, connectors, and any other sundry items.??

Can you go over 34mph in EV mode with your "mod"?
    thanks "lost in texas"

    ELCON charger end voltage MOD

i have to report that the mod of the elcon 1500 posted before will maybe not work

in the pdf the R1 is 75Kohm but thats the 81 volts charger
    the 292 volts charger got a 600kohm
so i geuss instead of 750Kohm i need 6Mohm paralled over R1 to drop the voltage 10%

but not sure this is the case.....

I think the resistors are the same. They are on the 5-12v side.
They very probably use the same voltage (5 and 12v) on all their model.

    Hi Planetaire,

Have you already done the Elcon mod on your new charger?

you also have a charger with a to high end voltage? where you want to do this elcon mod?
where did you get it from? evassemble? how long waiting already?

well with my charger its not the same resistence.. but i think thats to be expected because the DC voltage that go;s to the 5 volt board is also higher. instead of 80volts its more then 240 volts
so maybe thats wy i have a higher ohm.

ok i just looked it up

    i have a 600kohm ( dc + to pin2 ) and somewhere around 8.5kohm ( pin 2 to GND ) resistor these seem to be in series.

when you connect the high voltage DC ( i used 260 volts ) to this the 8,5kohm wil have ~3,67 volts over it
there is a 0-xx? volts control voltage.?

when i parallel a resistor over the 600kohm of again 600kohm the voltage on the 8,5khom go's to 7,25

just on paper... not sure thats really the case but it seems so.

I think you where talking about the resistor connected outside the charger, for amperage controling.
But now I think it was about voltage modif inside the charger. That is very different.

    Sorry

yes the current control is not a mod its a standard part of the charger so thats wy i think its about the voltage control
ok...... i hope i figure this out over time so i can adjust the voltage...

    Hey Tex
Thanks, it has been great so far. I run in out of gas mode 95% of the time. You can reach the 52 mph mark but most streets here I drive between 35-45 mph. I would have to work on the numbers to get right on but if you use a Elcon 1.5kw charger and BMS2 only you can do it for about $5500. I have the full CanView and a 2.5kw charger so I spent more.

Since I added two more A123 cells the Canview is showing a internal resistance of 0.06ohms most of the time. Xueming on EBay quotes these A123 20ah pouch cells to have an internal resistance of less than 0.6mohm. So I expect that the battery internal resistance to be the sum of series connected Lifepo4 cells in parallel with the NiMH battery which typically had an internal resistance of 200mohm. So 0.6mohm = 0.0006ohms x 72cells = 0.0432ohms//0.200ohms = 0.0355ohms which is a lot lower than my Canview reading of 0.06ohms.

    Hi FWD,

What value of internal resistance are you getting on your Canview display with your new Lifepo4 battery pack connected?

You should be adding the wiring and connectors internal resistance in your total, at the point of reading.
My total miliOhms is .025 with 6 aging NiMH OEM packs; measurement through BMS+.
