Sure it is

I use a one of the biometric cases that has the integrated cable. It's cabled to the seat frame to my passenger seat. I slide the case under the back side of the passage seat. I don't consider it an extremely secure solution, someone with a decent set of bolt cutters could take the whole thing. The only time my gun is left in the car is when I have to upholster it (i.e. post office, court house). Any other time it's on my person, on in the safe at home.
