If two years real world data is so valuable to support a sales expansion, how much more valuable would three be?

At some point they have to either roll them out or admit it is simply a California ZEV credit issue.

We know it is absolutely vital for owners to experience a full year of driving (all 4 seasons) for any rollout expansion to be effective. Without that real-world data being available from ordinary consumers, it just plain is not realistic.

Since availability is now reaching out beyond the initial markets, those comments about 3 years and ZEV credit are red herrings.

Waiting for 2013 inventory to be cleared out first made sense.

The technology is established enough now to help keep misconceptions from getting out of hand too.
