Without knowing starting point (initial SOC) of each charge it is hard to make a judgement.

I must be one of the lucky ones, at 121,000 miles I am still getting 12.1 to 12.5 miles per charge. I have to say the display in my car adapts to my driving style. If I am driving in an spirited manner while on EV mode it will lower the estimated range per charge if I have been using the charge faster than normal. There are times when I use up the charge within 9-10 miles when I am stuck in traffic and finally get to the point where the highway opens up. Although we don't get that much traffic on southbound I-35 through north Fort Worth (LOL)!! On weeks when I am having good luck with traffic or it is summer so we have half the number of cars on the road I get my full EV range out a charge. Sometimes I can get up to a mile and a half more than my normal 12.1 to 12.5 miles of EV range. All in all, I am very happy with the consistent range I have gotten since the car was delivered in March of 2012.

Have you reminded them? As bad as service is with overtightening oil filters, they may be even worse with keeping customers informed.

I am afraid I do not keep track on how many KW it uses when I recharge the battery. I just go strickly by EV range and Trip B on the trip computer.
I can't recall of the top of my head but I now it is no more than 30%. The Prius is our default road trip car so it has been on a lot of road trips all over the US and Canada. This has resulted in a lower EV% than you average Prius PHV. I should add that we do 98% of the recharge cycles using the car's Level I EVSE. Once in a blue moon do we use a Level II charging station.

Well if you want to eliminate whether your PiP is in the middle of rebalancing your cells over and over again you could try the following:

Drive your PiP for a week without any charge. This may allow the electronics and battery to coalesce at the same voltage level. It'll eliminate whether you are going through a rebalancing storm or your electronics (PDU, ECU, etc.) are at fault (or just plain lying to you).

For me it wouldn't be a whole heck of alot. Sounds like from your schedule, whatever you drive in a typical week, ~300 miles or so. You should also track your mileage the trip computer gives you. If its going down that'll be more ammunition.

That happens to be what I did, unintentionally. Drove a week without charging. Seems my range went up to like 10.5, hvac off, so about a gain of 1 mile I guess.

Try using just 5 minute recharges too after empty. It'll only add about 2 miles but again it'll allow the the battery modules to coalesce at a given voltage.

a gain of one mile on the battery icon range estimator, or in real performance?

wouldn't you think toyota would be smart enough to tell people to do this, so they don't get complaints?

Battery icon range estimator. I don't have the attention span to watch the trip odometer and the battery gauge at the same time whilst driving lol
