Interesting note: I took this on a 2 hour freeway roadtrip the day after installing them. It was a beautiful, clear day but there were considerable crosswinds at the time - the semis and caravan trailers were all bobbing and weaving all over the road. Previously, I'd noticed pretty substantial shoves from crosswinds like these (a known flaw/side effect of the Gen 4 aero profile). However on this trip, these made a noticeable improvement in resisting sway due to the crosswinds - in fact, I had none at all on the trip! This is a seat of the pants observation, I have no measured data to back it up. But the car definitely felt more stable in crosswinds to me, with no increase in wind noise whatsoever. A major bonus to go with the enhanced look...and my wife even approves!

I tend to see more Prius's with no moonroof. To me a Prius with a moonroof ....I don't know ...I'm still torn on the Prius with moonroof look. I get constant compliments about how sporty it looks even without one and mine's only a Two with a few mods which make it look a ton better.

People actually stop me and ask what kind is car it is lol. LOVE it.

 

I wanted the HUD more than the moonroof, but I enjoy both features.

 

How do you like your wrap and how is it holding up over time? Scratches, shine etc..I plan on having someone out on the Avery Dennison wrap.

 

Still looks like new. The wrap is my favorite mod.

 

In my case no moonroof and a wrap might be out of place I guess which is what I am debating. I haven't seen anyone with that combo on here yet.

 

I love my moonroof. Drove all around today with it open all the way with all windows open and it was so nice and cool with the wind blowing even though it was pretty hot out. I also like the look with it propped open on the rear only, ads to the styling and vents the cabin nicely..

Wrap with a moonroof looks cool and I will probably get it done eventually but as seen on my old persona a wrapped roof w/o moonroof just looks so darn clean I think. Like an all Glass roof!

 

That's what I mean if I'm gonna wrap the roof to me it actually looks better without a moonroof. MUCH cleaner. That's why I'm still debating.

 

Debate session concluded.... You know you want the wrap, plus what's another $200 +\- when you just dropped $1500 on wheels and tires and $200+ on tint... Might as well finish off the package

Plus all the money you saved getting a two you can reason allowed you to make the cool mods?

If I wrap my moonroof roof I will have them throw some 5% tint onto the moonroof glass to blend it in better with the gloss wrap.

 

As crazy as it sounds the '17s are out now so if I can get a good enough deal I'll jump over to a Three and have them swap the wheels and tires for me. Not sure I wanna do that yet. If the numbers look good it wouldn't be a huge difference.

Don't forget I sold my stock wheels and tires for $850.

Don't forget I traded I my '15 Persona. Monthly payments are $95. I get long term loans and pay it off.

 

Wow, that was quick...what's your reasoning for wanting to upgrade a trim level?

Will you be looking for three with ATP I hope? I am loving the ATP Package and use all the features daily!! Radar cc / Hud / Auto high beams / LKA / Safety sense.. So worth it!

What do you mean by "the 17's are out now?"

 

I was going to get the Three originally, but the $5k overall difference just wasn't worth it to me. Now as proxies are diving it may be ....

Oh 17's meaning the 2017 Prius is out which means dealers want the '16's gone. Hopefully they will drop prices even more.

I thought you meant your 17'' wheels were out.... You just got em so I was confused..

Hey if the numbers work out for you now and the dealer is willing to work with you to get into the trim level you want plus swap the wheels, why not!! Grab an ATP package before they are all gone?
