Hello everyone, me & my wife finally joined the Toyota family & we are loving our 2016 three touring. Picked it up with 27k, way below market value~sticker price certified used. We couldn't pass this deal up as other comparable prius's were going for $24k.

    We are getting 50-55mpg

^ nice color, I was wondering about your rain guards. I've look around & weather tech seems to be the only cOmpany that sells them where they go inside the window sill. Im looking around for other brands. I would prefer this over the sticky ones as they come apart. Any suggestions?

Yep. Flexfilm Panflex 50 35 35. It has a lifetime warranty on it, but we'll see how well it holds up. I am happy with it so far.

It depends on how skilled you are at installing things. The reviews say that the in-channel visors are mechanically more difficult to install and can scratch the glass. By contrast, installing external visors is easy, but you better get it right the first time.

In-Channel vs. Tape-On Vent Visors: What Are The Best Window Deflectors?

With external visors, if you are not good at things like pinstripe detailing and lining things up, you can easily mess up the alignment, at which point you will probably have to replace them. I am told that you can re-apply a visor with fresh double-sided tape (3M), but it's probably not worth the trouble. To avoid this problem, it is recommended to review installation procedures - particularly the technique of removing the tape film as you apply the visor to the window trim surface. Some companies, like AVS, have videos of this available on YouTube.

Since I was also tinting my windows, I had no choice but to use the exterior mounted visors (the in-channel visors can damage the window tinting film). Of the external visors on the market, I chose AVS, mainly because they cost less - if I messed up, or if they fell off, they wouldn't be too expensive to replace. They also looked good. However, you have to be super-careful when you install these to make sure they are properly lined up. You also have to be careful to clean the car body surface thoroughly prior to installation. I believe most review reports of visors falling off are due to inadequate cleaning of the car body surface, or from attempting to re-apply or reposition a visor after installing it wrong.

When I received my visors, at first I was very disappointed. They appeared to be heavily scratched (a lot of reviews complain about this). Fortunately this turned out only to be scratches in the shrink-wrap packaging. As you can see in the photo, the visors themselves were in perfect condition. Later, I took some "Goo-Gone" and removed the AVS logo (photo shows the logo still applied). So from the outside the visors match the Prius exterior glossy trim panels. However, from the inside, they're transparent, which is kind of neat.

In the end, if you do not plan to tint your windows, you will probably want to go with the in-channel visors, but as I have no experience with them, I cannot tell you what problems you will face when installing these. Weather-tech is a good brand, but they're about twice the cost. Had I not planned to tint my windows, I would have purchased Weather-tech instead of AVS. As it turned out, I was very happy with the AVS visors.

Note: If you are planning to tint your windows, the tinting shops usually prefer you get this done before you install visors. I was told that applying tinting film is more difficult when visors have already been installed.

I know Virginia has rather tight tinting regulations. Thanks

    Hello guys. New to this forum I got a 2016 Prius 3. Recently installed 5zigen inperio rs-1 18x8 with 225 45 18 Falken fk510

MPG from 52-55 to now 43-45

    Installing some Blitz coilovers soon.

Wanted to ask if anybody here know anyone who sells some TRD, TOMS, OR Modellista front lips or aero packages. I would love to get some insights, prices and maybe some actual pictures installed on your car.

    Thanks and more power

Take a look at 3M's Crystalline Series of tint materials, particularly if you want a high level of protection without too dark of a tint. I was quoted $600 locally (So Cal) for installation on my Black 2016 Touring model.

35% fronts here with 2% rears. I have a 45% on the windshield. Visibility is perfect and I wouldn't go any darker. I don't have a good pic of the windshield at the moment so put up the only one I had 20200126_153847.jpeg 20200125_085710.jpeg 20191219_140122.jpeg

If you wanted the black cowcatcher look, why not get a Prime or a Lexus?
You ruined the look of the front IMHO.

Yeah I agree will probably be getting a Lexus in the coming future. I will have to change the trd front lip to wald's. So that it matches the wald face mask

New painted front end so I gotta protect it from the family spring break strip.

Plus the new roof and roof color after getting back from the body shop.
