    This is perception only, many Citroen and Peugeot models are made at the same factory...

    Yes, most Peugeot (and also Citroen) models are great to drive! :)

    True. And in addition, this kind of styling has been a Citroen hallmark for a veeery long time.

    So if anything, it is the Prius that reminds (a bit) of a Citroen, not vice versa.

    My first car was a Peugeot 204. My strongest memory is learning the hard way not to try and start the car with the clutch out. That car jumped !!

    You are right. I *so* wish European styling and sized cars would make it across the atlantic.

    All these fugly sedans with their oversized posteriors just remind me of the overweight populace.

    The PSA press release gives some hints how expensive the hybrid system is for them. They say that $1500 more retail would be OK, but currently they cost 3 fold more -- $4500. That number is without economies of scale, or production experience.

    Makes me confident Toyota can go under $2000 pretty soon, and begin putting the HSD in smaller vehicles.
