Also, driving Minnesota to Chicago in December scares me, especially with a new car I am not used to. Any tips/thoughts? At best, wish me good weather.

Okay, I'm posting again, but it's to answer a question. Click on that roaming eye in the toolbar, it will tell you post counts.

Darn, a friend and I already paid for plane tickets up there. We do have about 3 days to drive 7 hours and 15 min, so i can take it slow if necessary.
