If you follow the conversation, it was failure of the rebuilt batteries that were installed.

Sounds somewhat similar to the position you now find yourself in.

@dina p if it is indeed your battery again and you plan to keep the vehicle long-term while saving money on a new main battery...
NewPriusBatteries.com | Home may be a viable option at $1600. You can also defray the cost by selling your current battery.

Mine was PA006 with a 612 sub code. That leads directly to the hybrid battery. There are a couple more sub codes. One is A/C, the other is transaxle. The codes are pretty specific. There’s a good chance it’s just the hybrid battery. I’d replace with a new battery and move along. Clearing the codes, for me, worked to get the car running long enough to limp it home. As soon as I shut it down, though, it wouldn’t restart without clearing the codes again.

I just finished with my 2007 prius P0AA6. All I did is to remove the aluminum strip that attached alone with the negative orange cable detached don't let it touch any of the ground or body ground. Then reset both 12v and Hv battery. You are done. It will run like before.

Removing the ability of the battery ECU to detect the P0AA6 does not fix the problem. But, I guess, ignorance is bliss.

It's like taking the battery out of the smoke alarm when it sounds off.
