    There are only 3 colors in pigment. Red, Yellow, Blue. The others are combinations of those 3, including black.

    Its not until you start trying to differentiate between colors in pigment and light that it changes, however. For instance, are leaves green? You see green color in lightwaves because the leaves are all colors EXCEPT green, the color they do not absorb, which is reflected and which permits you to see it.

    In pigment, it is different, because of the difference between 'black light' and black pigment, and white light and white pigment.
