Indeed so maybe I should forego using the TPMS, to save money, and skip the salty rims. Of course, the "budget" solution is to go with 15's, but...17's look so much better...even without lowering.

Anytime I'm in a situation where I just can't find any luck getting a good deal and am not sure what I want afterward, I stop looking and wait a week or two. Maybe it's just not meant to happen right now. With the holiday season getting started soon (it seems like it's earlier every year), you might want to try to hold off and see if there's any good sales that pop up. Maybe wait until next year, and hope to catch a post-holiday sale/special. Sometimes I even decide that the entire thing isn't worthwhile to me at that moment. If nothing else, it will give you some time to save up so you don't have to worry as much about the cost once you find something you like.

Other options, if you have any nearby, are shops that deal in after market accessories. Lots of them will have books of wheels and tires they can get for you. It might help to go take a look at one of those shops if you want.

Yeah, I hear ya. I'll keep an eye out. I wasn't expecting to find those ones. And I'm not in hurry to replace tires.

Most of the shops we have around here like "rent n roll" are for ghetto people that buy 40" rims made out of granite because it's only $20 a week "20 inch rims for $20" let alone most of them are butt-ugly designs chromed. They also have cheap tires.
