It's not ear rocks, or otoconia. Concussion damage from the Gulf War. The Meniere's really kicks in when recovering from a head cold, which thankfully is not very often.

DIY types can try Google, but the topic can be confusing.
Next step would be to visit your family doctor, who will either be conversant or refer you to a neurologist.

I had a mechanic change the oil on my Prius once. For the time I spent waiting around the shop & the $60+ I paid, I got an overfilled engine, dog hairs on my clothes, and an attitude. I then decided that I trusted no one but myself to change my oil. After two DIY oil changes, the money saved has already paid for my hydraulic jack.

The good news is there's no reason for it to be omitted.
I can see them leaving the old one in place but removing it then buttoning back up could only be a screwup.

Sorry, I just figured that since you mentioned it you had a method you knew worked. It's gotten better. At one time, I could tilt my head a certain way and always start the room spinning. Doctors never could find anything the times I had severe vertigo for days. Haven't had problems for quite some time, but that might be because I avoid working on my back, etc. Thanks anyway.

This video is pretty good, explaining a simple, straight-forward method of the Epley Maneuver.

It's funny, I can remember one time, a few decades back, had a cold that had messed up my ears. I was under the car checking something out: slid out, sat up, almost keeled over, everything spinning, lol.

$10, yeah, I'd let them do it.

But check the dipstick level after the car has been off for a period of time and on level ground. Horror stories of problems from an overfill w/ Gen2 pris.

What oil filter do you folks recommend? I'd like to get a better one than they provide at Valvoline.

I tend to stay with Wix or OEM Toyota -- whichever is cheaper.

But honestly, a $4 - $5 USD purchase ~ once a year is not worth much effort to save money.

Wow, you only change your oil once a year? How many miles do you typically go between oil changes?
