A small 1/8" blade screwdriver works just fine for temoving the plastic rivets.

Although I have 12 or more torque wrenches of all different sizes, my mehod of marking the position of the tightened filter cap on the engine works best and is a "no brainer." I've uploaded a photo.

Also, I've replaced the easily pulled off rivets on the oil change door with "rivet nut" inserts and M6 stainless steel Phillips head screws.

I went to dealer yesterday to pick up 5 qts toyota oil and a filter. And they only had 3, so they included 2 mobile 1 full synthetic. (n).. Back of Toyota oil says it comes from Exxon-Mobile! :cautious:

I take the whole cover off at each oil change (about eleven now), and then put it back on. The access flap spoke to me, said quite emphatically it does not like being bent back.

Goes pretty quick. I always wash the grit out of the fasteners, I'm pretty sure they're all original still, I'm losing track though.
