Not sure I see that but I don't have the best eyesight. I'd say the photo-shopping is more than impressive because I see a piece of the interior carpeting blow up through the back window and then fall back into the interior.
Found it! MJFrog was correct about photoshopping! However the explosion is real, DIY compressed gas install, but the RC thingy that runs under back of car is photoshopped.
^ While explosions can happen here, backing up that far afterwards on any highway in the US would seem near impossible.
Yes, it is easier to back up in to oncoming traffic, while in the far left lane, to get to your missed exit. (Actually saw that on the Pa Turnpike)
That depends on location and time. My carpool (someone else driving that day) did it successfully after an incident caused the patrol to close I-5, and before backup patrol could arrive to block wrong-way egress. When it happens these days, the vehicles beyond the last exit are trapped after police arrive to block wrong-way exits down the entrance ramps. For extended closures, the police will eventually pull in more resources to direct an organized and orderly evacuation.
