I've got Winter Gray Metallic and some people swear they can see blue in it. Others just call it Black. Anyway, if the dark color makes the car warmer in the winter I'm all for it. 032.JPG

I remember having a time with my wife on the color. The online image did not so it justice. So we went by the dealership in Memphis and told her to ignore the blue Prius (which is a lighter blue) and look at a Camry in the next line. That won the case. Soon my 2013 Plug-in Prius was on a truck from Carson Toyota to Memphis.

Winter Grey's colour code does actually put it in the blue category.

    8V1

Clearwater Blue Metallic is lighter at 8W1

For darker blues,Blue Ribbon Metallic is 8T5 and Nautical Blue Metallic is 8S6

IMG_1177.JPG Well, my friends. It was short but sweet. I will be leaving you . I looked up the paint code on my car, and it's NOT Clearwater Blue Metallic. The pic my dealer posted WAS, no doubt, CBM. My paint code is 781, so I shall have to leave you for the Misty Green Mica thread  . Alas. Here is my actual car. In Lyft, they call it "teal."

Well, there is no Misty Green Mica thread. And I don't have the energy to start one. So may I hang out here with you guys? I'll keep my eye out for a MBM thread in the future.

Almost went for the green, had the Winter Grey already, so that was not going to be a choice. Didn't want white or silver, so that made it a coin toss between blue and green. Been happy with the clearwater blue - for a little while the Pip was the only Toyota in that color.

I wanted sea glass pearl but there were two clearwater blue base models on clearance for $500 less than the same optioned SGP. It didn't make sense to me. But I said I'll take the "ugly" blue color for a $500 discount. My wife said the teal color is ugly and I got the better bargain.

Is (was) the color offered on any version other than the plug-in? Thats the only place I find it. I really like it. I'm in the market.

Unfortunately, no. The blue on the Prius v is called Clear Sky Metallic and was a lighter blue.

It's a pricey option but you could buy the car you like and then take it to a body shop to have it repainted with Clearwater Metallic.

That was in the running when we bought in 2009;).

That’s what the wife wanted, but they had Barcelona Red on the lot and with no options at McGeorge Toyota:).

The red still pops to this day(y).

I just noticed this thread, and since I have a Clearwater Blue PiP thought I would contribute. Here is an alternate angle of image of my profile pic also including out Leaf, as well as a photo from the day I got her in June 2016 (2 years old).

Clearwater Blue was available in other Toyota models. My wife was doubtful of the color, so we went by the dealership. I pointed out the various Prii that also had PiP colors and then told her to ignore the "blue" Prius but look at the Camry in the next row.
