Yeah ... fooled me, too! Very weird looking. :eek:hwell:

So, to lock the door, you touch the grooves on top of the handle?

Can you still set the driver-door SKS to unlock all doors?

Whoa... This car keeps gettin' more and more high tech! Touch sensitive grooves on the handle that locks the doors? That's so awesome. Have you tried it yet? Does it work just as well as the button? I cannot get over how cool that is. Here I was all disappointed that it all relied on the fob. Bahaha... wow... sick!

It's great - just a quick brush of the finger now, instead of a hard press.

It is very cool and there's a sensor underneath the handle as well so if there's ice caked on the top of the handle, use the bottom one.

Yep, it works quite well. I felt like the sensors on my '07 were requiring more and more pressure to work. The 2010 one is clean & easy. Very nice.

AND, we won't have any newbies complaining the SKS doesn't work, because no matter how hard or how oftern they press and press the little button, the door just won't open.

Gotta go to work on the wife ;)

I think all I will have to do is get her behind the wheel of a package 5 with the adv tech package and it'll be sold...just like it was when she saw the goodies on her Prius.

Say what you will about gearshift placement and sliding across seats, who cares when you're comparing a car you can sit in for more than 45 minutes without a vicodin and looks like something someone would actually want to drive to the previous car.

2010 Silver package IV no NAV.

Seats: good for 2 hours then I had to pull over to stretch ... lumbar helped a bit. Love the leather, it's perforated so I never got sweaty. Of course I had the A/C 73 so that may account for some of it too :D

Console: coming from a Acura CL with shifter, I couldn't slide across the seat anyway so not sure the complaint there. I love the armrest and it functioning - slide then tilt ... very cool, and a lot of space every where. The lower tray is handy for things like my badge and prox card for work.

Backing up: no need for a camera, the visibility is fine. According to Jeff, they trimmed the interior that was blocking before.

    FWIW,
    Jay

Well the benefit of our SKS is that I can put one finger on the black button with the rest of the fingers on the door. I can close the door and lock with one smooth motion.

With the new cool touch sensor, well it's a two-step process :D:D:D hahaha

Btw, <drool> on the pic.... BlueRM looks better and better on the Prius.

    Someone ask for a picture?

    Here's something you weren't expecting:

    IMG_0137_1.jpg

I was able to test out the adaptive cruise control, combined with the Lane Keep Assist. For the record, the Speed Limit was 60, so the setting varied only slightly from the posted legal limit.
