Prius drivers are of course much better looking on average than non-Prius drivers, as well as being more intelligent, wittier, and quite modest to boot. It's not just you -- these facts have been verified by totally independent and impartial sources ;)

I'm about to check out a local shop for tint work. They use LLumar. There's probably several product varieties - but is this generally a good brand? They will do all windows - sides and back for $120. One piece for the back window too. Going to check them out next day or two.

If Llumar's main site reflects their product quality....I'm a sucker for a gorgeous gal. oooooohhhhhh baby.

I love the LLumar FormulaONE tint. FormulaONE - Performance Automotive Film
I have used the Comfort Series on my last 3 Vehicles. It has great heat rejection and the color lasts. (Never seen it turn "purple-ish").
If you are interested in keeping your car cool then you need to be aware of the heat rejection values. I always look for 50% and up.

$120 seems rather cheap, I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". Most sedans in FormulaONE tint run around $225.
I never go to the "$99" Tint shops. It takes skill to install a quality film and the last thing you want to do is pay someone to remove the cheap/badly installed stuff.

I guess this picture should go here. 2 sec, f/6.7 exposure on tripod.

I see you have back up sensors. How do you like them so far? Does the pkg III with navi not have a back up camera?

Good eye! I do have backup sensors -- they were a port install that I wouldn't ordinarily have ordered, however I lucked into this Prius because someone else already had this one (and had requested the backup sensors) but then they backed out of the deal. The dealer cut me a little slack on the slightly-higher-than-MSRP, so I picked this car up probably weeks before one would have ordinarily been available to me.

Since the III has the nav package it does have a backup camera. Mine has a backup camera + it beeps. :) The good news is it works well and I actually think that an audio clue is better than the visual clue of the camera. The bad news is that between the backup alarm beep and the backup sensor beep, there's a lot of beeping going on (albeit in different pitches). The good news for me is I don't mind. :D

    Congrats on the car.

FYI--you can get the reverse warning changed from constant beeping, to single beep, at the dealer. In the owners manual there's a chapter with 2 dozen customizations the dealer can do.

Mine has a lifetime guarantee ... did 15% all the way around (except the lower hatch) and it was just under $220.

I'm just dying reading about these great quotes on tinting. I just was quoted $395 to do the entire car (only top 6" of the windscreen and not the bottom glass of the hatch).

Someone have a better idea of where to look? I'm outside of Chicago. Tinting the front windows is illegal in Illinois (but that is changing momentarily), so there aren't many people advertising tint jobs!
