Even with all the gizmos and gadgets on the dash, the interior doesn't look cluttered at all. Very nice, pics, thanks for sharing.

Yeah, thanks for those videos! In response to what was said about the remote start, every other car I've ever had with remote start required you to put the key in or have it present. When you push in the brake to drive off it would shut the car off otherwise.

I know the Nissan's only require the key to be near the car, and there doesn't need to be anything inserted, just press the gas, hit the button and go! Is that the same way it is on the Prius?

Ah, John... didn't realize that you had 1701-A on your license plate! :)
Of course it was another priuschatter... duh.

Well, I can claim to be just a little fuzzy-brained this week, anyway.

Prius works the same way. Prius has done this (w/ the SKS option) since 2004. ;)

Windows tinted ... car not clean and pics taken with phone, so not the best.

That's a great look -- tinted windows with the Blizzard Pearl!!

Do you know the percent visibility of the tint? Are they all as dark as the lower window on the rear hatch? That comes from the factory at 20% visible light transmission. The main back window on the hatch starts at 74%, while the front doors are at 75% and the rear doors are at 76%.

Man, I wish we could get our front windows that dark in CA. Lookin' good!

The tint is illegal here in Nebraska ... I want to say it's 18% or so??? Maybe it was 12%? Sorry I can't recall ... it was one away from being the darkest they offered.

The rest of the windows are darker than the lower hatch. In the Gen 2 there was no tinting on the lower hatch from the factory and when I had them tinted in my Gen 2 they didn't do anything to the lower hatch. They didn't this time either and it works out well.

Looks sharp - I'm looking at 35% max all the way around. Don't like dark, just heat rejection.

The 35% all-around tint is the max allowed (soon) in Illinois. I'd like to have some idea of the films you'd use and the cost. Please advise if you get any bids.

Illinois has forbidden ANY tint on windshield and front windows. Now, so long as no other windows are less than 30%, the front ones can be 50%. If no windows are less than 35%, then all can be 35%.

The windshield can be tinted only in the top 6".

All of this assumes the Governor signed into law the bill passed by the Assembly.

Thank God ... now I can quit obsessing about it :) Or at least switch my obsession to all the other things about the car vs deciding what color combos to get!

I wasn't quite trying to make the windows THAT dark, but it just kind of turned out that way ... might've been the same tint I put on my 08 Touring, but I wanted just a touch less dark. Oh well ... I will adjust and enjoy. It looks darker in the pics than in person.

Nice background for the shot! :cheer2:

I would have taken some nice pics at an apple orchard but it's been raining off an on for a couple of days now. The apple blossoms don't last long so I'm hoping it's sunny tomorrow.

Thanks a priori!!! Let me know for sure if you see wether or not it passed. I am getting it anyway, but now I know what tint to get that might be ok.

What % did you get? I'm just curious. I cannot remember how dark I went on the Prius my mom now has, but it was as dark as I could go. I had to roll the windows down at night if I needed to see to the sides. I don't think I want to go quite that dark, especially if I have a hope of doing it legally in IL now.

12 or 18% ... I will stop down there again and check ... it's not on my receipt for some strange reason :D
