Looks great and leaves lots of trunk space. Wonder how it will work with the husky liner that fits the original floor contour... SCH-I535 ? 4 Beta
It should fit fine with a liner. There is a bracket that get installed to hold the sub from the rear truck area. I will post a photo soon and verify that it will work with a liner.
The system includes all speaker, harness, and their 32 bit DSP amplifier and sub amplifier. The sub is an option add on to the system.
Any more info? How does the outboard amp interface with the factory head unit since the factory head unit has no pre-amp output? Speaker-to-line-out-converter built into the amp? Any news on price? how would someone on the east coast get this installed? Thanks!
Prices are not out yet. I know they have built great relationships with dealers all over the US, let me know which dealership you would like to go to and I can ask if that dealership would be able to insall it.
LOL! If your dealer have not heard of the company, I am sorry to hear that. Have them contact OEM audio so they do not miss out. You can and should be able to do it yourself.
An amp, a sub and connections. This wires your existing OEM head unit and stock speakers to the additional amp and subwoofer. I've heard it and it does improve the sound quality a lot. The bass is especially deep and crisp. With that said, you cannot make the stock speakers emit frequencies they weren't capable of emitting before, and just changing my head unit in my C2 improved the overall sound a great deal.
It looks nice, but that company sure is pricey. What kills it for me, more than the price, is that you're stuck using high level outputs out of the factory radio. You can only do so much with that, even if you do end up swapping all the speakers in the car.
They got back to me with some info... Our Stage Concept allows the customer to build their system according to taste and budget. Stage 1 is comprised of our 32-bit DSP Amplifier w/ vehicle-specific EQ tuning and Quik-Sync Wiring Harness. It is a starter upgrade package designed for use with the stock speakers. It provided a noticeable improvement in clarity of sound and increased dynamics because its powering the speakers with more clean power. Stage 2 adds a subwoofer amp and one 8-inch CF subwoofer in a Prius C enclosure. Stage 3 replaces all the stock speakers with our drip-in/plug & play 1-inch high resolution soft dome tweeter, 6.5-inch CF woofer (front door) and 6.5 coaxial (rear door) essentially upgrading the entire system to Reference status. We will introduce Stage 2 (ETA-October) and Stage 3 (ETA-November) as they become available. I plan to get the stage 3 for sure.
