I'm a Software Engineer for a military contractor, and in a year I'll be a full time MBA student. Now I just need to decide where to apply.

I'm a former US Naval officer. About 25 years ago, we were in a NATO exercise in the North Atlantic, with about 40 ships in a screen formation (for you non-navy types, that's where you divide a large area into sectors and every ship patrols its own sector- but the formation itself is moving on a specified course and speed.) I was officer of the deck on the midnight watch, there was no moonlight whatsoever, and we were in total EMCON (no lights, radar, radio, etc.). Being the cautious type (i.e., not looking for an abrupt end to my career), I got us positioned in the center of our sector and then just stayed at formation course and speed. All of a sudden, there's a bright orange spotlight shining on our decks, and I'm yelling, "hard left rudder", and a Canadian destroyer passed very close down our flanks. Apparently, he was a little overzealous patrolling his sector. I always respected the Canadians for their cojones after that encounter!

Anyway folks- if you see Canuck on the road, better give him a wide berth! :lol:

Woohoo, not many psychologists on the board. Still a PhD student in psychology but I spend most of my time either working at a psychaitric prison or during neuropsychological stuff. Wife is a therapist at a or a children's home (and soon to be Licensed Professional Counselor).

 

I'm an Eye doc ( optometrist) and my wife is a massage therapist. We both drive a Prius

i am a merchandise planner for an apparel company by day (boring) and a superhero by night (awesome!). there are hundreds of cars in the parking lot at work but only three prii. yeah, i work with sucky people.

 

I am a banker and the only Prius driver in my building.

I'm a high school English teacher, and hubby is a physicist/department chair at the local university.

 

B) Law Enforcement Officer with 32 years of service and wife is clerk.

 

i'm a speech writer and the mister is an assistant to a producer.

we have no pets or kids. who needs 'em when a prius could bring you so much joy

I have a Computer Science degree in BS. I am working as a build release / Program manager and supporting our client. I also worked as a System Engineer, QA, and desktop support. I am good at everything I did and it is hard to specialize in one area.

:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: Michael, I also served with the USN as assistant Scheduling Officer for the entire Pacific Surface Fleet 75-77 on exchange duty at Ford Island Pearl Harbo(U)r.
Met a hell of a lot of intelligent and well trained gentlemen and ladies at Third Fleet. Probably the most memorable posting I had other than skippering our destroyers.

PS: Folks better take his warning seriously 'cause the wife and I are travelling across the US and Canada this Sept and Oct in the Prius to Indiana to see her folks then clear to Nova Scotia returning via Vegas and Los Angeles.

Ours is a two prius household. I am a rehabilitation aid (physical therapy) and my wife is a second grade teacher. Seems like there are lots of folks from either sciences, medical or education fields. COOL

 

I am an actor and film producer, my wife is a proffesional violinist who mostly works in the studios doing the music for film and TV. Anyone interested in seeing a movie about the Prius ?
