I'm embarrassed at how long it took me trying to figure out how to get the fuse box positive terminal cover off before finding the video... Watched video, done in 2 seconds.

What in god's name are those two clips on top of the cover for?!?

Are there any instructions how to remove the throttle body? I really want to take it off to clean. But all I have seen is wiping it off with brake cleaner, which doesn't look like a good cleaning to me.

If you watch our intake manifold cleaning video, we removed the throttle body. :)

You don't really gain much by removing it to clean, you can clean it fine without removal. But yeah you can easily remove, and you can leave the coolant lines attached, there's a fair bit of play. Torque on the bolts/nuts is 7 foot/pounds.

I got a little crazy and removed the PVC plate. Looks like it had some kind of gasket seal. So i cleaned it up, It wasn't too bad and now reinstalling it. I used some gasket maker around the plate and screw holes. But does anyone know the torque specs for the pvc plate? Their are about 8 screws holding it.
    Thanks
And removing the throttle body worked! thanks for the replies!

How hard was that? I tried prying on it half-heartedly, seemed like it was glued on pretty good.

You motivated me to look: attached is the Repair Manual info on that. It's lumped in with engine disassemble/reassemble, and I'm not adept at Acrobat PDF creation, just cobbled together all the pages having the info, plus some extraneous stuff, but it's all there.

A screen grab from the last page:

I see the "Toyota Genuine Seal Packing Black, Three Bond 1207B" is available on Amazon.

Thanks for the service manual info Mendel!
It took a little muscle removing the cover. I finally got a small pop from the bottom left corner. Then just kept going till it came off. I was expecting more oil/carbon sludge from a 2012 with 146,000 miles. Don't think it was worth the trouble and probably won't do it again.

Years back, wandering around a Honda dealership lot on Sunday (when they were closed) looking at the offerings, I started noticing bolts all over the place. Enlisted my kids and we picked up a bunch, various metric bolts. Nice gold-coloured bolts, most with captured washers. Still have most of them, just a handful or two. :)

Here’s comparing the halogen bulb to the LED headlights for you :)

Have you guys ever changed the stock LED headlight bulbs? Or maybe they rarely fail?
