Definitely a problem on iPhone and iPad that did not exist prior to the big server update.

Clearing cache does not help. No other websites or forums I use have the issue. My pc with windows and Google Chrome works properly on Priuschat.

I added this sentence after posting the above. Saved version disappears unless manual refresh.

 

This is getting to be a “lest we forget” thread? Just posted something, saved it, and as usual, it ain’t there. Till I reload the page. Must confuse the heck out of new comers. Anyway, just to stir the pot.

 

it's a real bummer, makes it harder and less fun.

 

Marginally better than the posting delay. The main thing bugging me is the complete radio silence, from the man.

 

Obviously not an IOS user which seems to be the main platform with the problem. I tried a Google Chrome app but it does the same thing. Clearing caches is no help.

However on a PC there are no issues using Google Chrome.

 

Everytime i try to log in, i must reset my password.

See this video where i log in and 1. it says the email/username is taken 2. i perform password reset and log in and log out and 3. i try to log in with the new password and it says that my email address is already in use again.

This was also reported by another member in post #232. This needs to be looked into and corrected.

thats not the issue I lay out here. I have more than one device. etc etc. If i log out, then i must reset my password because the site is telling me that the username is taken.

What are your browser cookie settings, and what browser and version, and OS and Version are you using?

 

@rjparker @dolj it doesnt matter. same behavior on my phone, my laptop and wifes ipad. I had to reset my password to respond here just now. See the loom video above to see what is happening. comment #247

 

Doing multiple edits on a post continues to be Kafkaesque in absurdity. For starters, you need to refresh every page, to see the latest edits, both in the editor and when done. And I’m pretty sure secondary edits on occasion “delete” earlier edits, meaning you need to redo, or just throw up your hands.

FWIW, this is on an iPhone.

For me, it seems to be deteriorating.
I now have to refresh each page after clicking on an unread thread in new posts, or the most recent post does not show up.

The Apple infrastructure is not needed on Priuschat. However we will bow to scam artists and fake profiles.

 

The edit/refresh bug continues (why are we not surprised…):

post a reply to a thread. For starters it doesn’t even display, till you refresh the page. Then, you notice a typo, or want to add another paragraph, go into edit, do it, post. Refresh the page if needed, and check: yup, post is updated , displaying correctly.

notice something else, go back into edit, and fix it. Then just for giggles, before posting, check that your previous edit is there, and it ain’t.

now what the hell to do? I really wish @damny would weigh on this.

 

it seems to be getting worse from my apple end, is that possible? the number of times i have to click 'new posts' and refresh is getting ridiculous

 

Word to the wise, if doing more than one edit to a posting, with the subsequent edits refresh the page, because chances are good it’ll not be showing the previous edit(s), and when you re-save those omissions will be lost.
