Correction, if I hit the remote start it gives me the option to change the remote climate setting as well as turn in and off defrosters. Now I only wish I had the option to lock or unlock my doors from the app.

The Toyota brand services rep that I talked to yesterday claims they’re still integrating the features from the prime app on entune into the Toyota app but it “should” be done by the end of the month. I still can only see remote start/climate control and battery charge status. She claimed that other features like being able to change charge schedule, view eco history, lock and unlock doors, etc will be coming soon.

I don't recall ever seeing door lock/unlock functionality on the 2017 Entune Prime App. That would be an enhancement. What I care about is the vehicle locator (aka last parked location) functionality which the help pages for the Toyota App claim are there, but are in fact missing in action.

I just got this car so I’m honestly clueless as to what features were in the entune. But she did say we would be getting back at least the same functions as we had before they killed off entune. So fingers crossed!!

They updated the app. yesterday. New UI, but no new connected features like lock / unlock.

I have the exact same 2017 advanced trim. Any update on this? Anyway to see vehicle location, tire pressure and door status?

The 2017 Advanced never did provide tire pressure or door status. The old Entune app provided vehicle location, but the new Toyota app does not. I am in phone discussions with Toyota Telematics support as to why the last parked location does not show up on the Toyota App. The support person claims that it should. They asked for me to e-mail them a screen shot of the "Find" button screen, showing that it provides charging station locations, assistance finding a parking place, and finding a car rental location, but NOT the last parked location of the car. I sent the screen shot and am waiting followup.

Obviously you got persons that either didn't want to bother checking for you, or didn't have a clue.

I just got off the phone with Toyota
A nice lady did 30 minutes of investigating, ..as all my remote features have been grayed out. She found out that after the move to 5g, car remote telecommunications capabilites were no longer capable.. since the service used 3/4g initially.

"So much for advanced Prime! - Optimus was just out-leadered by Rodimus!"

..hope for the future? Since the remote option in app is currently grayed out, and says being serviced..are they updating our vehicles to be able to once again take advantage of remote features, that should be elementary to our vehicles!

Does anyone at Toyota know what they're talking about??? Introduction of 5G does *NOT* mean that 4G has shutdown. 4G service will be around for years. There are many places that still have 3G service, although that varies from country to country.

I had a similar conversation with Toyota. The Toyota app has never shown me any of the features and functions that other people here talk about. Since my 3 year free period was ending I wanted to find out if there was any point in paying for the service. They finally told me that since I only had the base model I wasn't entitled to anything. Fine. Whatever. Looks like I'll save a few dollars per month.

You could always go aftermarket remote options, which i will probably do weather they fix things or not. Why should we have to pay a monthly fee, just to start our car, or change the temperature! Totally ridiculous to begin with, and being controlled is not my cup of tea... so it looks like karma bit Toyota in the a$$, trying to control and charge people for options we now can't use... all those customers who would of paid, they lost out on..not to mention, the customer gets nothing for a highly advanced vehicle... lose - lose situation.
