Apparently... Excerpts from this vendor's response to a consumer protection complaint calling them out for taking orders and collecting funds without delivering goods:
"I recommend you stop wasting your state tax payer's money..."
"...the world was on fire for 2 years if you've been living under a rock..."
"Once your resident's two brain cells connected and they figured out it would take longer than a couple weeks..."
"Your resident redneck also filed a chargeback...in addition they complained to you people and are now wasting everyone's time. Go away we have actual work to do."

I apologize for my mistake, as it appears this vendor is doing actual work, such as taking payments for new orders for products which won't ship for a year, ignoring messages from customers, and not shipping new batteries. The personal attacks are unwarranted and reflect poorly upon this vendor's character. Finally, the mailing address listed on the vendor's website appears to be no longer valid, as an envelope mailed there was returned to sender/unable to forward with the notation "no longer at."

I live near that address and looked it up once a few years ago. He sold that property about a year ago. If you go to Linkdin and search for "New Prius Batteries, LLC." you can find info about him but no recent posts.

BBB profile has the same (old/wrong) address. And it looks like they just close their complaint files so long as the vendor responds.

Been out of commission for a bit. Back to being able to do a few things. Catching up on emails.

Had lots of issues pop up personally. Going through emails and refunding anyone that wants a refund. When the BBB and other people continue to interrupt you while going through a personal emergency, the general response is "f-off".

We aren't out of business, we are expecting a shipment soon. That property was sold a while ago, we/I have many. I haven't lived there in about 3 years anyways.

For now we may just stop selling individual packs. It is not worth the headache. We still sell many to fleets, and that's where the majority of business is. 95% of sales, 5% of the headache. Sorry to anyone who was ghosted. There were much more important things to take care of and it may have turned out you'd be ghosted forever. Luckily that didn't happen.

I would love for your battery to be an option for when my 06 original hybrid battery fails. What if you didn’t accept orders unless you have batteries? for example, once a shipment of let’s say 100 batteries arrives then you only allow and accept 100 orders. then if you over accept and charge 200 customers in this example, your inbox would be a lot lighter. Not trying to tell you how to run your business, but just an idea to keep the option open for individual consumers like myself!

Yes but individual customers would almost never get any. And you'd have to refresh all the time for when they "drop" like it was a video card. Different problems, different anger.

I can sell a few hundred packs to a taxi/fleet company with 1 email chain. When they ship, they get an auto-email and that's it. Versus selling 1 pack to someone who orders a few months in advance and I get 20 emails, phones calls, and texts asking if things are still on schedule. Of all the fraud and chargebacks we have had, 100% have been from individuals. Some request a refund, get it, then issue a chargeback. Or after a refund make a claim with the BBB or their consumer protections of their state. All of that is a huge waste of time and it is just vindictive. 1 order that we make nothing on, costs us money in charges plus extra time. I also only have this issue in the US. Nowhere else worldwide is this an issue.

I don't know what the solution is. But it is wearing thin. Perhaps a ticketing type system where you get a queue position for a small fee. Then upon a pack being ready you have to convert in 48hrs or you give up your spot. Tesla style.

When I saw the lack of response I figured it was a personal emergency. Glad to see you're back and alright again. It may be best to just offer fleet sales, unless people email you directly for a personal order and sign off on a potential wait time of XXX.

Just a update for everyone my packs been live since 2018 and works like new. Driven 70k miles on one and the other 50k miles without issue. Theyve paid for themselves already.

I have a solution 2k1 Toaster! How about you stop taking peoples hard earned money and you wont have to refund it and deal with BBB and all the other agencies.
You promise them something you know you can’t deliver…then lie and string them/us on. It called theft.

Yes I know its a pain to deal with these small people who have given you $1600 (I see now you want to steal $1800+) after all its their fault for being so gullible.

I seriously don't know what your problem is. Did you order? Did you not get your battery? We don't show an outstanding pack that matches your description.

If you order a battery today, it will be sent out in a day or two and delivered in about 10-business days. As it states on the website.

Now we are getting somewhere! We have taken this conversation private. I have sent all the documentation to Nick again and waiting for his reply. I will keep you updated. I just logged on to HIS website and sent a screenshot of my order saying “Awaiting fulfillment”. I have had no replies with Nick on order status since June 5, 2022 stating it will be about a month.

I believe my past communications have gone through because 1. He replied to one. 2. I also reached out on his website “contact us”. I also called and left a message.
